Obiano is simply blowing the money Obi left for him..

I was in onitsha and I saw government owned BRT kinda buses and I was like "WTF". Is that the workers welfare you are talking about?

Job creation? is that what you call those ASTMA guys?

I see Obiano making Aregbesola's mistake. The man doesn't have a direction in my opinion. Always trying to be on the news.

I think he should watch it.. Okorocha and Aregbe are good example of the consequences of being a media governor.

Apart from Security, Obiano haven't achieved anything in my own Opinion.

The lesson in all of these is that the masses, the common man, the electorate shld all wake up to their responsibilities and rights wch basically borders on determination of the best and most sensible Man to lead them at all times and forgoing religious, tribal, ethnical nor political biases

Peter obi although may have his short falls, he was in a class of his own. From health to education to roads etc in all the place I could fail him was on sports where he did little or nothing. But on financial management he is a case study.
Rochas rode to IMO state govt house on a record hype yet his performance is abysmal. Its just a glaring example of difference between electing a political and a tecnocrat

The funny or painful part (depending on one's point of view) is that governors/Presidents; Legislators; Ministers and so on, can actually do their jobs, serve the people diligently and still enrich themselves. However, greed, wickedness and the need to lord themselves over 'commoners' make them destroy the society so that people are grateful and even scramble for whatever crumbs they offer.
Imagine the number of stupendously wealthy government officials both past and present in the North yet see how poverty ravages the people. They'd never empower the people economically/educationally so they are never challenged! Same applies to other places but thank God that the innate capacity of a people(Southerners generally and Igbos particularly) to forge their own paths and make money as well as excel in other endeavours making it possible to stand on their feet and take no crap from nobody. Granted, there are freeloaders but still even they hustle and unfortunately cut corners with negative effects on themselves and other affected persons.

Sadly, the criminal justice system in Nig is practically comatose, all whimpers, nary a bark and certainly no bite where it matters because their independence is in question and greed also ravages and bleeds the system dry. So who then goes after these irresponsible governors that bankrupt their states with impunity and nothing to show for it and yet still bear the title of 'His/Your Excellency'? Where then is the hope of the common man?

l can't speak about peter obi's management skills, but l met him once at Abuja airport and his simplicity impressed me. As I walked across the arrival hall that day, there was a man right in front of me pulling a small suitcase. I never knew it was a governor in front of me because he was alone without adc or pa. l only got to know it was peter obi when we got to the exit door and the then apga leader with a tall cap,waiting for him, shouted "your excellency".

Obiano's works are speaking for him. Awka is getting a facelift. Onitsha too. Job creation is going on the state. workers salaries have been increased. Reduced transport for the massess. etc.
Peter obi ran government like his personal property. Go and read soludo's article where he talked about Peter obi's style of governance. I'm just happy Anambra has gone past his style of governance of propaganda and deceit. Peter obi was elected to deliver dividends of democracy to the masses which he failed to do but rather was claiming to be saving money, for who?

Fashola, Chime, Akpabio etc are governors that performed far more than Peter obi in all ramifications but these men have moved on with their personal lives after their tenures whereas Peter obi has been seeking political relevance by distracting his successor, donating stolen money to schools with media fanfare, sponsoring several internet charlatans to write articles like this one singing his praises or spiting his successor, claiming projects he couldn't complete, etc. Peter obi is fraud please

Peter Obi remains one of the best brains in financial management in this country and I respect him for that. To be frank, other governors should emulate what is happening in Anambra state in terms of financial management and governance. Once again, kudos to Mr Peter Obi

Any how you spin it, merits or demerits tax paying is a standard practice around the world. Under Peter obi, our state tax revenue was just 500 million/ month even lower than states like Ebonyi, etc.

Taxes are good but if not properly managed, can hinder economic development.

I prefer the government raise the IGR by giving soft loans through successful microfinance banks at 1% using part of the low taxes raised. cool

Are you aware that close to 20% of Sabmiller profits goes into the coffers of Anambra state. The state government owns 20% of Sabmiller.. Another investment for the future by Peter Obi.

Love him or hate him, His excellency, Mr Peter Obi has redefined governance as far as Nigeria is concerned
