austinvsb1:Oga, if u are asked now, u will say u just made meaningful comments. Barcanista has expressed his opinion. I believe u too can do so without all the many poo u spilled up there. If all what u listed is enough for u to say this new government has achieved more than the former, then I guess you need to take intensive classes on what achievements are and how they can be identified. I stand on the point that it is way too early to start doing this comparison. Let's all support the new government to focus on the task at hand. By the end of the day, we can make the comparison u guys r so much in love with. |

Barcanista shall live long to continue to be a thorn in the Flesh of the conquered people (ACN)..... Important to make that distinction. Most of the dogs barking here are the media and propaganda arm of the APC (ACN). Their only way of staying relevant is by clinging on to Buhari. ------------------------------------------------- In a desperate bid to take on the PDP, it was necessary to assemble a formidable team with a candidate capable of challenging the PDP. The north desperately needed to install a Northerner as president. This gave gave rise to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Who/what is The APC? The APC is made up of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). Make no mistake about it, APC was formed as a result of an acquisition (or takeover) by CPC and not a merger of political parties. f the ACN guys think they are in a partnership, they better wake up from their dream. The best they can hope for is a joint venture (where they have 15 per cent stake) and the venture will probably last 1 year, tops. ACN were strictly regional, with no influence whatsoever outside the South West. An attempt to go national saw them heading for political bankruptcy and they were desperately in need of a political bail-out. ACN went into the arrangement with a view to cutting down their losses in the elections and 'at least getting something' from the new government. CPC saw it very differently. For them, the arrangement was an opportunity to expand their influence in the North and in Nigeria as a whole. This combination of "unequals" (conquering and conquered parties) will only favour CPC as they control the new business. CPC has also acquired some PDP members, making the takeover remarkable. This is the order of influence in the newly formed party as a result of the Takeover: 1. CPC + Free-styling PDP members 2. ANPP members 3. ACN Where does all this leave ACN? Like any in takeover, any of the business units can be sold off if it not deemed to be profitable. APC only exists on paper........It is actually CPC+Free-Styling PDP guys in control + the conquered mushroom parties (ACN, etc). ------------------------------------------- |
