My Horrible Experience With Inspired Autos. by revlution: 6:43am On Jun 23, 2015
I got to know about inspired autos from a notable Nigerian blog.
I browsed through his website and decided to buy a car from his site. His website states that cars will be delivered within 31days which was convinient for me as I needed it urgently and out of the country.
I called him and expressed my interest to purchase the ML 350 at the offered cost of 2.5million. He said the car was available and that I have to pay 40% deposit to secure the car then complete the payment once the car is delivered at my residence.
I ordered this car on February this year and paid the deposit of 1million(40% of total cost). He also said that once the money is received he will scan me the invoice to show that I have deposited. He also stated that he can also register the car and deliver at an added cost 90,000 and will service the car at an additional cost of 50,000. I did not object to that. He also said that all the car registration document with the invoice will be scanned to my emails before the car is delivered. Business transaction with inspired autos started getting suspicious:
Firstly , his refusal to send me receipt of car deposit after series of emails and calls.
Secondly, with 31 days delivery period having expired, still the car has not yet arrived. 2 months later he claimed the car had arrived and was being cleared at the ports.
He asked for completion of the payment(remember it was completion of payment on delivery).
I demanded for the invoice of my initial payment before further payment can be made. He managed to send me an invoice of the 1million deposit just in time for me to complete the full payment.
I paid him.
Fourthly, 2 weeks after he claimed he had completed clearing the car and now ready for delivery.
From that day onwards he stopped picking my calls or replying to my emails,I only managed to get him on the phone by using a different number to call him.He will reply and give all sorts of excuses like -he is out of town ,he is in a meeting, he is in the hospital, he will call me back...
When I emailed him to enquire about the delivery of the car I have paid in full for, he claimed there was no petrol to deliver the car,I asked him to buy petrol at any cost and ll will reimburse him at any cost cos I really needed this car. He later purchased black market and said the car will be delivered the next day.
The next day , he emailed me and told me that the black market petrol caused the car to break down and now in Benin.
He said it will take 5days to be fixed. I had patience.
At the end of 5days, he said the car will be delivered as now working well.
On the said day I didn't not receive the car. I called this man over a dozen times, he wasn't picking my calls I spoke to the driver who said that customs officer stopped him and impounded the car because he didn't have a valid drivers licence. Which professional driver that works for a company doesn't have a valid drivers licence. At this stage , I knew something was not right, inspired autos managed to pick my calls after 2 days of constant calls and emails and he said that customs officers seized the car due to incomplete clearing documents and he was working on getting the car out.
How can a man that claims to have cleared a car completely have issues with customs about a car. Was it fake customs papers that he processed?

Since then it has been one story to the other.
After nearly 5 months now, he has not sent me the full registeration. Documents of the car(which I paid for), he has not sent me the invoice for completion of car payment, I do not know the true whereabouts of the car, whether it even arrived in Nigeria as he claimed, or whether he sold it off at a higher price to someone else in Lagos and now making up stories to cover up.
The photos he sent me about the so called car, were very blurred and I couldn't make out the registeration of the car. It could be anybody's car or even a stolen car.
For the past 3 weeks now, inspired autos- Mr Bimbo Akin Emmanuel , has not communicated with me in any form whatsoever.
I believe it is very unethical to scam people of their hard earned money.
He is nothing but a very dubious businessman who uses his website to scam unsuspecting buyers.
He doesn't care about his clients once the money gets into his hands. He treats clients that trust him with their money with no respect and regards for their concerns.
To say that I am disappointed and frustrated by his services is an understatement.
Please everybody should be very careful of this man, he claims to be the Africa's number 1 online auto dealer, he is nothing but a number 1 online scammer with no morals or human values.
Beware of Inspired autos!!!.

Inspired auto, eja nla himself! Well, until we hear his own side of the story.

Op, we've always been saying, take your money to the nearest auto mart and buy your car with peace of mind. Better still, go Cotonou and get your car from there. As it is, we go tire for this matter osmiley

@Burger01.
You are right , buying directly from an auto mart while in Nigeria is now the best option, as what you see there is what you get.

OP, I feel your pain. Inspired is a smooth fraudulent person based on unpleasant sad tales I've read about him on this forum: he used to be moderator here but was removed because of his fraudulent activities and complaints from his customers.
I will advise you to use every legal means possible to recover your money.

What kind of heartless business man is this dude for heaven sake. He goes around flaunting the sweat of people all over the place

Why can't you guys just have him arrested or blacklist his company since he seems to be getting away with murder time and time again?

This is not the first time he is being reported for fraudulent activities especially around custom papers

Thanks.
He is a smooth talker, acts like a decent gentleman till he gets all your money , then you see the evil side of him. He completely switches off and you will not hear from him again. This is scamming at the highest level.
Experiences like this is what discourages people from patronising sincere online business people.

This is serious...collecting over 2m from someone and still have the heart to avoid the person's calls and feel comfortable...lord have mercy.

@op do you have the deposit slip or transaction receipt of the money you sent to him? That's the only proof you have that a transaction occurred between you and him.

Finally, inspired autos should come and tell us his own side of the story. Breach of trust is a very serious offense in business.

He has used your money to buy Benz and lodge in Burj Arab abi wetin dem dey call that hotel.

Don't mean to be blaise but I don't think he is an honest business man at all. Also very rude and full of himself.

Those who have been here long enough will remember: Agariautos, Ptconsult, Onwan, GermanAutos, more recently - TrippleA now Inspiredm. All na pre-order scam.

https://www.nairaland.com/446872/preorder-mess

They all start out as honest business men but their greed and lack of moral compass lead them astray. Everyone wants to live big and flaunt wealth but are they ready to work hard for it?

With the kind of turnover they have, they think that revenue is their profit and they can spend as they like. Soon it will become a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Inspired autos, after weeks of not communicating with me , finally you have replied . Remember it's been nearly 5months since I ordered this car from you, where is it?
From now onwards, any communication I am going to make with you with regards to this car, will be in on this site , as I want true transparency and witnesses to deeds that transpires between us.
You sent me an email now asking me to take down this post on nairaland.
Why is that?
Are you ashamed that your dubious ways of doing business is becoming more popular than your car deals itself.
If you are truly a considerate genuine business person, you should be letting me know about the whereabouts of the car and the duration it will take for it to be delivered to me. But rather you want me to take down the post on nairaland, to cover up for your scams so you can maltreat other unsuspecting buyers the way u have to me.
If you are in hospital in the USA like you claim(by the way, this is not the first time you have given me the ' hospital' excuse), out of sheer common sense and empathy, why did u not inform me through emails. I will understand entirely and I will still wait till you come back from USA and you can continue with your lies.
But now you are able to send emails because a complaint has been made against you.
You said weeks ago the car was impounded in Benin, how come the car is now in Lagos.
I do not understand Sir.
It's one story to the other.
God have mercy on you.

Op, reach out to Inspired, inform him of your intention to pick the vehicle from his place yourself, at your earliest convenience. Don't allow him to dictate terms anymore. Whatever he says let us know. Reach out tonight, and let's know, might be time to teach Inspired some lesson in business etiquette if you not satisfied.

I'm sorry. I don't think it's right to ignore this person's means of communication to you, but the moment he puts up the thread, you show face. It doesn't paint you in a very good light. If you can't get the car to him, the least you owe him is a phone call, from anywhere you are. You might think it's small, but #2.5m no be beans o

Thanks for your concern.
As it stands now, Inspired auto has failed to confirm the true location of this car., whether it is in Benin or in Lagos. I don't know where the car is. The last time he contacted me, he said the car was impounded in Benin customs office due to problems with the customs papers. If what he has informed me is true, it means that if I go to pick up the car from BEnin customs office myself I ll have to pay lots of money to customs to process the original customs duty documents, probably within hundreds of thousands as he informed me ( not less than 200,000).
Also,as he has not sent me any registeration documents of this car despite repeated appeals to him, I cannot even claim that I am the owner of the car. The only proof I have is the bank transfer of 2.64million I made to him.
He has blocked all possible access to this car.
I do not even know whether this car actually exists.
I have contacted him again, still waiting for his response.

Please reach me So We can Sort Delivery
Inspired autos,
Ever since I completed the full payment of this car to you almost 3 months ago, I gave you all the details for the delivery of this car.
I gave you the delivery address, 2 contact phone numbers of people that will receive the car and hard copy of the car documents.
The contacts I gave you have been contacting you also to know when the car will be delivered and you talk to them rudely and tell them you have sorted everything out with me.
Meanwhile I contact you and you don't communicate with me and u ignore all my calls and email.
If you truly have this car, please deliver to the original address and inform the contacts for pick up.
You know fully well that I am not in the country and I told you this right from the very beginning I called you to buy this car from you, you informed me that you will register this car, service it and deliver it to any address of my choice with added cost which I gladly paid you, totalling 2.64million.
I do not know what else you want us to sort out with regards to delivery since you have everything you need and ever asked for.
If you do not have money to fuel the car and deliver it, I will happily reimburse you once I get the car.
Still waiting...
Thanks.
