This is unacceptable!!! Accidents bound to happen but the management holds the workers, the duty of care. Irrespective of whatever that parrot had said, the family of the dead should slam the company with the suit of Negligence. Afterall, reps ipsa loquitor.Degrading and inhuman treatment must stop when we learn on how to use the instruments of law to deal with situation like this. Forget the peanut that the slavish coy will pay as compesation. |

Our people don't like using safety equipments even when provided by companies. Had it been he was putting on common helmet, it might not be as bad as this. R.i.p to the dead . |

dangotesmummy:Funny enough, the boy Tua should be my age grade then. I just left secondary school and was preparing for higher institution, older men call him master Tua, God. Workers use to say if someone die there in the coy, sales will rise. Our people are suffering in there boy. Back then, we would pretend as if we are sleeping while those chinese guys are having their lunch, once the last guy leaves the table, we swoop on the leftover. Almajiri things, that's the shameful spendthrift tradition I participated in at woodline, wempco, trying not to spend in the canteen as others. Chinese dont owe, yet most work is excruciating, they also work hard and bark orders. Where I work was like paradise of the factory, I was just trying to prove that I am old enof to work and fend for myself at 20 then, it almost cost my life. |

I hate factory work. This is how many Nigerians die in these factories. I could recall, how a boy in my area was given a short sleeve ( his two hands were cut off) by a machine he was operating. The worst is that the company sacked him after 3 months of the accident and with little payment. The FG should pass a law protecting these workers and the Nigeria Labour Congress should do better. RIP to the dead worker |

dre11:Theirs is a business striving against the nigerian odds to deliver profits to the investors. When people review earnings and call an employer a slave master, I just ask why doesn't that person quit to set up shop so he can pay living wages. Having been in the management of a start-up that failed after guzzling funds meant to put it on life support, I know it takes more than wishes, postulation/theories and hope to survive in business. Company cannot value your life than you do and hence don't carry the same dreams as its workforce hence cannot do more than providing PPEs and some HSE standards. My condolences to colleagues, friends and family of the guy that died though, but i'm not sure he had his helmet on when the accident happened. To those that say the place should be closed down, imagine the fate of the families of those hanging-on in spite |

This is cruel. Who is the owner of this company, who are the people in their management team? Do they not have families? The blood of the innocent will certainly cry for justice. Evil men. |
