The last time I went to Ekiti, I see new big mansions, even in my village.

People are building mansions, but we want infrastructure.

This report is false
Jigawa should take the 1st position
And how can you rate kogi as 26.4% while Kano at 76.4%. I think the reverse should be the case
You don't know Kano well enough. Poverty is everywhere even the city capital is poverty ridden. Until very recently when Jigawa people started using blocks and iron roofing sheet, it used to be clay and elephant grasses for roofing. You'd see this even in Dutse the state capital.

It does not any way affect me. Whether Osun is very rich it does not affect. I'm only trying to compare the information I have with what I'm seeing here. I did invite anyone who got solid info to disprove me.

This statistics from UN is not realistic, Osun state where I did my youth service, mud houses everywhere from Oshogbo to Iwo,Ilesha, ikurun, there i saw typical villages I have never seen in my life, you can compare Ogun,On do,Anambra,Abia with Osun in terms of poverty rate

I took this report very serious until I saw Osun on the second spot.
This is a huge joky
u're actually on point. I spent one full year serving in osun. And I've been to their major towns like osogbo, ilesa, ife n ede. Osun can never be second on that list. Its literary the poorest state in southwest region. Infact the poorest state in south south is by far richer than osun.

Dude you don't need to worry yourself, remember the thread of how Osun economy is bigger than the entire East combine and how Aregboshola was making £330Billion per hour selling unripe plantain and bitter kola.

Most of these guys jumping up n down have not been to anywhere, I have been to Ogun, I have been to Ekiti, I don't want to sound somehow but ignorance is addictive.

This is the type of thread that always give Aregbosola the audacity to be wayward with the lives of his subjects.

Go on, Osun is richer than the entire Eastern, even Ekiti is in the ladder there.

To ever imagine tha Osun n Ekiti have better poverty rate than Abia is enough to send those that did the research to be sent to ISIS for proper beheading

For a scholar in this field, the model United Nation adopted in the computation of poverty is complex and unrealistic. The model proposed by World Bank also adopted by IFPRI have been the one majorly used worldwide. Don't know how to explain this here but the deviation from above or below that of UN is small. this change though could (example ) shift the position of the research object from normal 10 to 5 or vice versa or even 10 to or 16

Now let me give us a food for thought. It is generally said by many people that its the north that feeds the rest of Nigeria with her agricultural produce. If that's the case then how comes they're this poor with a majority of them living below the poverty line? Does it mean they produce and sell everything and then scramble for the few remnants or is there a good explanation for this? Note this report is solidly based on feeding pattern of the regions.

Don't believe what people saygringringringrin

There are many farms in the SW maybe not in Lagos.. But Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Kwara, Edo, Ekiti all have farms....

The North has weather for some crops that can't grow in the SW but Kwara is helpful to the SW when it comes to suchgringringrin

It is entirely plausible that Osun is second on the list. In fact, the relatively lower poverty level in Osun is the reason why that state is not on fire yet. The problem with salaries is not up to a year, it takes more than that period of time to compute the poverty levels of a state. Think about it, have you heard that people are dying of starvation in Osun?
