lezz:Blah blah blah 1. South Africa is an NIC (nigeria is not) 2. South Africa is a member of the G20 and BRICS (nigeria is a member of exactly ZERO such organisations) 3. South Africa produces 100X more power than Nigeria 4. Your military has been in a state of decline for 16 years |

vandalZA:QUESTION: Is south Africa importing power from Mozambique and Namibia? Yes. Your government borrowed billions to help eskom , turned out to money down a courtesan's warm fistula .Eskom have actually started selling off some of its stakes to private firms to even stay afloat. Load shedding is over? You're petty lier with a peacock's ego and a self esteem made of glass. |

[s] Patchesagain:[/s] South Africa's g20 membership expired in April 2014. Your 2nd economic status and weak GDP makes your position in G20 ripe for a review. Your BRiC membership is by China's invitation . you're still not a flag bearing member. Learn to use the word briquette. It is your own press that coined that term to reflect your BRIC status .The NIC is just a term. It means nothing substantially. Besides south Africa is an underdeveloped country as under eloped can be. With a population of 180 million. A GDP of 594 billion dollars. Having the largest concentration of billionaires in Africa. Having Africa's largest economy. 5th world contributor to the UN. Front runner state freeing south Africa from the shackles of slavery and apartheid. Who is boss, son? Who's got Africa's back? When I say Nigeria, you shout AFRICA ![]() |

Patchesagain:Power generation in Nigeria is divided into 3. Government Generated power IPP (Independent power produces) Household generated power. At peak periods the Government produces 6,000MW of power. Heavy industries like Dangote, Honeywell, General Electric, Telecommunications /ICT providers, Construction companies, Automobile Assembly and spare parts manufactures, Banks& insurance firms, Ship builders and OIL & Gas industry, Cement manufacturers, large scale furniture manufactures, Electrical parts/Transfomers/electronics manufactures all etc etc all fall under Independent Power Producers. These group of people produce 15,000MW of power. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/dangote-group-honeywell-others-generate-15-000mw-captive-power/176725/ Household generated power, there are 170 million Nigerians, with 80% of all Nigerian households generating additional power for their homes and Smes. The amount of power these set of people generate is not recorded, however given their sheer size, they generate between 8000- 10,000mw of additional power. |

agaugust:http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/dangote-group-honeywell-others-generate-15-000mw-captive-power/176725/ The truth is, I don't think they produce more power than us. Yes, they do produce more power from the Grid than Nigeria, but interms of total captive power generated in each countries, the difference isn't much. |

RudzSA:Nigeria is known for Nollywood , music, football, entrepreneurs, putting Africa on the economic global maps by its sheer economic size, democracy, we're the largest in Africa. Nigeria is known for being the spiritual headquarters of Africa, we have the highest billionaires in Africa, we have the 2nd fastest growing millionaires in the world. We are KNOWN FOR LIBERATING SOUTH AFRICA FROM APARTHEID ![]() South Africa is known for HIV, rape, xenophobia, inequality, murder, savagery and having the number 2 biggest slums in Africa. Lastly, you don't know a thing about nic. Its a loose term that has not been accepted by the traditional economic analyst. ALL BRIC MEMBERS ARE STILL CLASSIFIED AS DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. Get a proper analysis. |

RudzSA:It doesn't fit into your narrative, but these are the facts. Take for example, Nigerian cement manufacturers produce 45 million metric tonnes of cement every year, while South-Africa in second place produces 25 million metric tonnes. Do you think if the country(Nigeria) only produces 6000mw of power, it would be able to achieve that? |

vandalZA:if I am a south African , there is a 3/4 chances I will contact HIV or die in a gun related violence. The chances that my aged grandmother will be gang raped is 2/3. No, I consider south Africans the most uncouth in Africa. Not even Burundi can be xenophobic and thieves three times in their history. Such a shame Africa freed these slave-magnets. Docile lots. |
