I am considering doing my masters and enrolling for masters and concurrently work. my dad is going to sponsor me all the way but my problem is if I would be able to cope. the university I am considering is far from my residence/place of work; about 120km away. I know there are experienced folks here.

Help please. I don't want to end up frustrated.

- Your intellectual capacity
-The nature of the proposed work
-The nature of the masters you are about to take. If it is the type that requires rigorous academic work I do rather suggest you drop the idea of work cos graduating with a high cgpa will boast ur future chance (scholarship).
If I were in your shoe,I do drop the idea of work for now since dad is going to foot the bill

You need a good brain and the will power, you'll be fine.

Apart from the above, I will suggest you face one task after the other.

Try to balance both and ask yourself questions like.
Will your workplace allow for spare tym to school and work at the same time, else take a study leave.
Education is paramount.
I no say make u loose ur job oh... This is naija mind u.

If the work will affect your studies, then finish the masters first. Since your dad is willing to sponsor you, you should not have any financial burden that will make you to combine the masters with work.

It is better to focus on the academic programs and come out with good results. That will to a large extent help you to get a better job in the future than your current job.

Choose between the masters and the ICAN to go with your job. I think you should start with the ICAN because that would have immediate impact on your output on the present job. The masters can come after you are done with the ICAN. Wishing you the best.

I will advise you focus on your work and ICAN. After your ICAN, try to get an ACCA or wok towards CFA.

I might be wrong, but I believe those professional certifications are much more better than getting a master's. There is no point getting a master degree that won't increase your chances of promotion or getting a better offer.

does high cgpa matter in masters?... really... for example MBA

People are excelling in this sort of venture. You are not going to be the first person. Yours is far better you have a sponsor

It is achievable if you are disciplined.

U can run all concurrently dats if your work is flexible, I work and also doing my masters degree,though i work on shift, try and take any opportunity u got now..

ICAN is a not a do or die affair. You can do ICAN when you are on break at school.It is not an easy tasks!

It's possible cos I have course mates who are working while studying, but the truth is that, you should be ready to face a very haculean task, it's not going to be easy but it's possible. Luckily enough, you have a sponsor which will make things a lot more easier.

So quit and do a full time Master's program my guy, so you can concentrate in a proper school environment and pass out with good score in both the MSc. and ICAN

But if you feel you cant cope, just quit your job and face your masters and ICAN

e no easy, am doing ACCA and working full time. Hard to cope, if you add masters on top na die be that except the masters is in finance
