There are indeed thousands of strategies to profit from but one is surely the best. And that one is the best does not mean every one that make use of it will get the same result as we approach each strategy with different psychology. Price action to me is either the best or close to the best considering the fact that the indicators make use of price action as well. That doesn't mean we all must use price action thou as we r not of same mindset.

gold trends heavily. candle stick patterns might roast you if you try them on gold.

every instrument we use trade is not but speculative..first of all they are all indicators indicating where price is like to go or not go...none is beter than the other, it all depends on the user
