You are funny. How can you say someone who scored 27 goals lost us the title in 2011/12? You have taken your hatred towards Rooney to a new height. Rooney was highest scorer in the league per minutes played.

We lost the titles in 2010 and 2012 basically due to injuries together with :

SAF joked with some matches. In 2012 he benched Rooney against Blackburn. He tested Scholes against Wigan /Newcastle. In 2010 He benched Nani and Carrick against Chelsea with Bayern Munich in sight. A league decisive game with few matches to end the season. A win for United would have ended the season.
All I know is Rooney had a good season in 2012/13 considering he rose up to the challenge to carry the team when RVP went 10 or more matches without scoring. That was when we went on a huge gap at the top over City and set the stage for unassailable lead.
