So you still didn't read that it peaked at 4500MW in April 3?
Power output had dropped from a recent peak of 4,500MW on April 3, to 2,800 as of March30.
The ministry said on the eastern axis, Shell Gas, Alakiri plants were shut down. Other affected power plants include National Integrated Power Plants (NIPPs) – Egbin, Olorunshogo 1 & 11, Omotosho 1& 11, Geregu I & 11, Ihonvor and Sapele on the western axis and Alaoji on the eastern end.

Common sense no tell you say na the strike cause the shut down of plants that led to the drop in power?

He said the ongoing strike by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and the National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG), which began on Tuesday, was responsible for the worsening supply.

From the bolded it simply shows your level of maturity, so you are using 6wks to compare 6yrs of GEJ? You well so
my brother we re not insulting each other here. The truth is we all kw how PMB talked about GEJ n his administration like he was doing nothing, one will only expect a 30 percent significant change to have taken place since the handover but we are depreciating as a country and u expect me not to compare

so because he (PMB) just took over we should all sit and watch the country go into extinct?? do u kw how much a dollar now cost as compared to our Naira? ?

do u kw how many ppl have lost their lives in space of this one month alone?? those are the things he (PMB) used in his campaign against GEJ now we face same challenge and more.

Sadly I believe the polls. This is not because it's a true reflection of his performance. To be fair, if you observe most government all over the world, you will discover they tends to have a very high polls scoring rate the first few months into their administration. This is called a honey moon period for a reason.
Any judgement of buhari's leadership this early, will always be off the mark (good or bad). Let's wait a while before cutting his throat.

@ barcanista, The previous power transmission peak of 4517MW was attained on 23rd December, 2012. This is a quote from the report.
So between 2013-2015 the MW kept dropping amidst all the fuel supplies but since Buhari took over the reigns of power, thing's changed. PMB has got the midas touch.

What did Buhari do in the energy sector since assuming office? It would be nice to state what he actually did in that sector to take the credit.
If the tables were turned and there was no electricity, would it be right to blame Buhari?

Your epistle is rather tooooo long. How can you measure morale of the ground forces by the rule of thumb? The result of high morale is increased attack on terrorists and reduced attavk by the terrorists (Just like we saw during the tale end of GEJ's era and when Ihejirika was COAS. Was Buhari the initiator or executor of MNJTF? Was he even the onw that pledged the fund? He has done nothing.

As for power, yes under GEJ it peaked at 4517MW in december 2012, yet the power as at April 03 was 4500MW. www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/183496-nigerias-power-generation-at-all-time-low-crashes-to-1327mw.html
It fell down in May due to the PENGASSAN and NUPENG strike that shut down power plants. This so-called 45300 that TCN announced is simply due to more diesel to power the generator and not due to anything by gmb.

Fact: GMB has done absolutely Nothing on power.
senier007:
Well it's obvious this writer always wants to criticise even when it's obvious, well based on my own analysis this writer belongs to the 12% of those people that think PMB is either babagoslow or has no plan, barcanista was being economical with the truth when he is comparing the number of people that dies in the last few weeks as the only yardstick used in assessing security rating! In real world, the number of dead is only one of the indices used in assessing security rating, troops morale, availability of arms, commitment from leadership, rally the whole masses against the monster, number of people that lost their lives within the period under study, and the rest and all of them carries equal mark, if the president fail in one doesn't mean he has fail in all ramifications, ask any army be it a soldier or an officer about his morale he will tell you it's just a matter of time before BH will seize to exist, he has released money for procurement of arms that will be used by strong arm 8500 soldiers from MTNJTF by the end of this month, for the first time, citizen have started reporting would-be suice bombers to the security agent, what does that tell you? He was able to rally both regional and world powers behind him, so the point is when u are sick, and you allow that sickness to fister for some times, after some times, you decided to take medicine, would that sickness disappear as soon as you take that medicine? No, you need time to allow the medicine to start attacking the diseases in different stages, at some stage, you. Only feel headache or dizziness or even dry mouth but after sometimes the whole thing will go away God willing, but by merely taking the drugs, you have started the process of eliminated the so called disease same thing is applicable to this present scenerio.
When it comes to power, for the first time Nigeria has achieved a new electricity transmission peak of 4545 mega watts, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN)  announced on Tuesday. According to Seun Olagunju,  general manager, public affairs of TCN, the feat was achieved at 9:45pm on Monday. The previous power transmission peak of 4517MW was attained on December 23, 2012. (https://www.nairaland.com/2450905/nigerias-power-transmission-all-time-peak). In just a space of one month he has made history, so if you are still experiencing black out is either ur area are not paying monthly fee so that company decides to give you blanket punishment or something is wrong with your area. Don't always criticise for critism sake, always look at the bright sight of everything besides this govt is just 2months old and you are expecting it to create magic why did Jonathan not create magic in the past 6years? Why did you people not vote for magician or a wizard?

Fyi: N150billion is less about $850million. So where did you get your $10billion from? Obasanjo that spent a whopping $16billion (over N2trillion) achieved nothing. Till date we are reaping GEJ as GMB is yet to do anything.

Morale? I doubt if you are a military man, but morale is that thing that pushes you to war without fear and sense of patriotism, morale is never about attacking, in war, people must die, and their must be a winner, during GEJ fiasco, many soldiers ran away from battlefield, or refused to go to war or MIA, some even went far to shot themselves just for them to evade the war front, that's cuz they lack morale which is essential due to corruption, lack for leadership, lack of arms and ammunition, and felt their is a fifth columnist that is always pushing them to death. The whole history has changed now upon all the noise BH are making in the background they couldn't seize one piece of land, but choose to go after soft target but not conventional the last time they tried to seize maiduguri-damaturu axis within few hours dead body everywhere and four of their vehicles were burnt down.
