The problem of Biafra is going to be worst than Boko Haram if something is not done now. I am surprised the federal government haven’t said or done anything yet to stop it. The way the east is right now, I think the second civil war is coming and as such something needs to be done. We all know that Nigeria is facing a lot of problems now, Terrorism, Unemployment, lack of power and the fall in the Nigerian economy. A war would be catastrophic. It will reduce our population further, already thousands have lost their lives from Terrorism and health issues.
I think the government should diversify the economy. The east is boiling because Nigeria is surviving through the oil in the east and south and that Nigeria doesn’t regard them as anything the rob them of their oil and as if that is not enough the go ahead dominating them. All important positions are taken by the west and the north who haven’t contributed to the well being of the economy. They feel the North and West are ripping from where they didn’t sow and this makes them want their own country where they can control their oil.
If the economy is diversified that is Agriculture to the North, Manufacturing or Tourism to the west and Oil to the south it will go a long way in kyboshing Biafra and as well boost the economy and reduce unemployment and the standard of living in Nigeria will improve.

We have radio biafra becos Nigeria have failed. The federal republic in practice is against freedom of movement. We hear thing like 'go back to ur home' people are be persecuted and killed out there and force to leave the place they pay tax. Therefore, Never be peace in Nigeria till tomorrow. Nigeria is an aparthied state, so we cannot pretend and have peace.

The east is not boiling!what you have is a group of persons escalating and inciting hate and propaganda to fulfill selfish interest and to finally plunge the west Africa region into a humanitarian crisis!
The govt of previous has always been in favour of diversifying the economy but it has challenges which gradually it is has over the years addressed.
It is now in the hands of every individual to push for industrialisation and development.

If we can't encourage confederatiön to force states to generate her revenue, then get ready for secession. Even America doesn't pratice such system, where 80% of Oil Well is owned by North.
We own the oil, what's the position of Niger Delta and Igbos that brings food to Nigerian table in the new government.

I know of 36 states of the federation. And it has always been govt policy to generate revenue.
The main issue has been federal allocation as contained in the constitution forms or takes its revenue from oil and gas which is shared among the states
BUT the states themselves are not helping themselves to grow.these governors love abuja oil money.
Now look at it this way!
If obaino and his type have been governing anambra state since 1976.do you think anambra will be in the stage it is now.
If a fashola has been gov of Enugu since 1980, where will it be
Or jakande continuously governing a state like rivers state.
The answers of Nigeria has never been succession.okay another example,
In the early 1950-60.it is a lock down of only about 3,4 regions all developments were only "priotized" to major cities leaving the other areas to their fate.meanwhile the income acrueing from these places goes to the city development.
Anambra was a big state but income it received did not reflect across board. Now you have both anambra and Enugu state
Imagine the developments that has come but the problem has been GOVERNANCE.IF GOVERNANCE WAS OKAY AS A RESULT OF ELECTING COMPETENT
INDIVIDUALS WE WONT BE SCREAMING

Now let me address the latter question of resource ownership and etc.
Looking at states like delta,Bayelsa, rivers, aka ibom and newly discovered regions of oil deposit.the communities are the owners of the land
But how many of the indigenes have the money to buy out the oil license from govt.
So they have another route
1.be major players in the industry.which leads us to the big problem
2.what is the state policy on development of youths in the region
3.what is the policy drive of the elite in the region concerning the youths in the area.
If after 1970,our big men hardly can do anything to encourage the youths to engage in the oil and gas.haba! What are we going to do?

Awolowo, nnamdi azikiwe and a whole lot of people AGREED to this Nigeria and fought for its independence.
Nigeria has grown to be 36 states and 6 geo polical zones and it is still growing and it is still united.Nigeria has left a time in history where there was daylight misrepresentation and now we have matured into a nation will multi ethnic representation.
It is not yet perfect but it is far better than 1967.

I want you to look at the map of Africa .notably the colonial hand over of independence to national entities.virtually all the founding fathers of these countries independence are dead to the effect of national instability and grouse political greed( not forgetting the wars and debt they fell into).
Ghana,Gambia,serria Leone,Liberia,Gambia,cortd'voir,Congo,Zaire,Libya,etc.
It is a pattern. Now look again the regions s with sstability over the years or those who stylish came out of that "clitch"
Nigeria,Ghana, gambiacameroun every other region is in crisis and guess what South Africa had deep support from Nigeria.
Understand what I wrote about these nations'it is a pattern" and the result is "chaos, hardship, war and debt"
Now we need to ask ourself how does these crisis happen.
Simple,
1.propaganda of the masses either through
a,ethnicity
b,religion
c,political affiliation
sd,control of resource or
e,division in the ruling class
finterference or imposition by contrary nations

1967 was the biggest mistake of decision that was made by some quarters but at the same time it allowed for the development of the entity of Nigeria in the long run(other ethnic nationalities now sprung up and had a say I .Governance)
In 2015 the same thing postures itself again under Gen But the route he took was not envisage. That si guitar decision has kept the SS .and SE a very big stack in the concept of Nigeria.(it literaraily positioned the region to reject any attempt for unwanted destruction of life, property and its interest irrespective of the goals/ agenda of the day)

Biafra can never be as bad as a religious terrorist group. How many of those biafra supporters do you think are willing to die for the cause? Stop over reaching by comparing them to suicide bombers. It won't help anyone. It's a lot easier to stop biafra by addressing the social issues like injustices. You don't need to be a Igbo to see how they have been marginalised in their own country. Being born as an Igbo shouldn't be a disadvantage neither should being a fulani/hausa be an advantage.
Many things are wrong with the current system that needs to be addressed and I suppose the reason why things are calm is because yorubas are comfortable with the situation.

Always making an excuse for an ineffective governance or government. Keep making an excuse for a government that has so far refused to accept fiscal federalism, decentralisation, encourage privatisation(I.e Railway companies), encourage total-rather than selective transparency and fight against corruption.
The point is, the government have failed to aggressively encourage diversification and address the soctal injustice. What is the percentage contributions of the northern region to the national pot? Why should they benefit more from the system?

I don't support biafra btw.

The northern governors and the majority of governors do not want resource control because like I said "lack of good governance" is an African problem.
The society of Africa is heavily style from rich class lording jover poor class.
Now take lags state, because of good governance it is Willi g to support resource control and by good governance it has worked had I can boast of igr.
Now let us come to the other regions how many governors ARE WORKING HAD FO CREATE IGR FOR FHEIR STATES.
but with a media campaign for state to come out of their debts they have no choice but to develop their respective states.
Now equity before the law in Nigeria has grown.if not Buhari would have killed some people instantly.more than ever before the people have a voice for or against actions of govt.
People are challenging unequal interpretations of the constitutions more than ever before.
This is a good omen cod Nigeria and its wealth.Nigeria is matching forward steadily!

Now tell me why a group shouldn't get angry when the northerners have chosen to remain selfish and unproductive but instead take the largest pie? I am surprised my people in SW are okay with this tbh. Nigeria meed to stop encouraging laziness and unproductive leadership. Most government institutions in Nigeria, don't have any long term economic plan for their states or organisations.
All they do is pay salaries(not even on time), do some few roads, and few other basic things that doesn't have any long term impact on people's lives.

Its not funny at all but rather pragmatic because if you're saying the embolden, then I'll have to ask what about the Esan, the Zuru, the Efik, the Ibibio, etc, and then I'll have to say funny how they've not been shouting "marginaliztion" or is the word made for the specific use of the Igbos?. And I also vividly remember a certain Chuba Okadigbo being the number 3 citizen of this country at a certain time, so was a man named Evans Enwerem, Abel Guobadia etc.

And I must also call to your attention to this hidden but shrouded truth, apart from christians and muslims, have you ever seen any other religion practitioner occupy "the most senior positions" in the country? Then I'll really say its also funny because they don't seem to be bothered.

So why shout "marginaliztion" when the Igbos are not the only one being marginalized!?.

Now to this next post.
You asked why is a group "angry" at the "northerners"
1.I mentioned the governors(northern) and I said majority of governors
#.are this group angry at their own governor and local govt chairmen, councillors who collect huge sums of money
2.are these groups angry at there governors when they don't build hospitals
3.are these groups angry at their own governors when they don't perform.
Many of the northerners try all they can to farm and provide for their family needs.
How many of these groups a cording are bent on farming!

True federalism

When a state is empowered by law to keep at least 25% of income generated from mineral resources and taxes within her boundary.

Then you will see real diversification of the economy

Economy diversification is not the sole responsibility of FG but of all layers of government cool

Fact cool
