Thanks @Kepner a session contains 2 semesters..do you mean 4 semesters?I sent you a message request. Can u pls accept? Thankx so much
Hi,
I don't know about MEng fees but if it's a 2 year program, you'll be paying for 4 sessions in total (summer terms excluded).
What's your major?

Hi,

I'm impressed with your foresight and future plans. Well done!
You seem to be interested in an academic career. Would you be looking to engage in clinical work as well?
If the latter is the case, it might be better to wait till winter 2017, so you can have enough time to get your certificate and final transcript for your admission. That way also, you could seat your Nigerian licensing exam which is necessary for clinical practice. An added advantage is the one raised by TempusQ, coming home and writing the exam could serve as home ties for your visa application.

You come across as a very conscientious and focused individual so I'm sure you would make the right decision regardless of what we say on here.

Dear Montrealer,

Thank you for your candid opinion and advice. I am also looking towards engaging myself in the clinical field too. The thing is that, if i mistakenly postpone my admission till January 2017 and come back to Nigeria, I don't think i'll be able to leave the shores of Nigeria anymore. I see Nigeria as a country that traps one immediately you enter that country after graduation. The thing is that, after i write the Nigerian exam, i am expected to do an internship in Nigeria for at least 1 year to solidify the MDCN exam. Staying for almost 1 year in Nigeria is going to be a whole lot of frustration for one. I just want to achieve one or two more qualifications before i even think of coming home. Although, you are right. Writing the Nigerian licensing exam would be an added advantage to me and my future plan. Least i forget, Practicing in Canada is nearly impossible. The only possible things that one can do there is just Academia which i also want to do. Unless i wanna go back to medical school again in Canada which is completely crazy and an impossible thing to do after 6 years of hard-work.

May God help me in making the right decision.

@hayquinsbFX
Msgs keep returning undelivered.
I can't remember how long my admission process took cos I applied in 2013 I deferred my admission in 2014 to 2015.
The CAQ took approx. 3 weeks or so.
The form was online. But the required docs and passport pic are sent via post. I used DHL.
I think thats it.

Cheers

In my opinion, Birth Cert may be uploaded under additional documents. And it should be scanned as one of the last documents 'cos it's not 'that relevant'. People forge birth certificates; but inconsistency in any of your documents as regards your birth date will surely raise eyebrows.

Anything that has to do with finances should be under proof of sponsorship. Be it part payment, scholarship or assistantship offer etc except the funding came with your acceptance or admission letter which has its own separate place to be uploaded.

Police Character should also be an additional document. And I don't think it's necessary.

Hi guys, I'm currently studying at the U of S and truly speaking, it was a miracle. The U of S seems to be "one of" the most affordable ( of which I know of tho ) in Canada. One of it's advantage is : you dont have to pay your tuition ahead before you being granted an admission. Even when you eventually get here, the tuition is flexible. I.E, you only pay for the number of courses you wish to enroll for that semester. But BEWARE , Saskatoon is one of the coldest cities in Canada. It gets upto -50 during the winter so plan your coming.
If you need advice on the process, lemme know, I'll be happy to help.
God bless all your endeavors !!!

Good morning house.

There are 2 questions I'd like to ask.

1. What's the best way to move funds out of the country now, since there's a restriction on cash that can be moved physically (CAD 10,000 or so, not sure), since one cannot open a Canadian bank account from here to do a transfer? Also, considering the restrictions by banks on foreign currency.

2. From experience and personal opinions, what's the most reliable Nigerian bank to bank with from Canada?

Thank you all.

Not sure about this, but I think you can use your Nigerian ATM card (Mastercard) for withdrawal in Canada ATM Machines. undecided
