WELL IN AS MUCH AS I AM IN SUPPORT OF CUTTING CORNERS AND LIKE DOING THINGS THE "SMART" WAY, NEDU'S CASE IN POINT WAS JUST DAMN RIGHT STEWPIDITY! |

shortgun:I share the same thoughts with you. Plus Mr Nedu's low IQ, Something like this was bound to happen. What if he was in the military, will he take his family to the war front? Men should know when to work and should be able to sacrifice some time with family in doing so. That him wife nai go first start to dey frustrate am so as e nor get job again so. |

Atk01:Ok nice script so lets rewind the tape to the time Nedu met his wife and i guess she must have been so carried away with his job not minding his personality. The lesson is that it is who we are that really matters because our nature will always make or maim us.its just a matter of time. |

Similar story almost 20 years ago in an IOC. This was a London course and both husband and wife were staff. Hubby took wife along and after the course wifey insisted they should stay on for some more days at company expense. On getting back to naija excess cost was charged to hubby's salary account but madam asked him to protest which he did. While he was still looking for trouble with his petitions the company went through a retrenchment exercise and his manager made him top of his hit list. Na so bros go home while madam continued in the IOC. I just checked her in teh email system and she is still going strong meanwhile last time I heard about bros he was selling GNLD. Madam was also going abroad every year since then but she never took bros along. I hope the love blinded young men are taking these examples to heart. If madam retires today she would be talking almost N1m per month pension + about N100m gratuity / severance. Doubt very much if GNLD pays that kind of money. |

Nice story. I hope people learn from this. Honesty pays in the long run. You may think people are not watching. A lot of such office runs happen today. |

naijainfogalery:Worse still, it is exactly fools like this that would despise and harshly criticise 'yahoo boys' and all the rest. I always insist that many so-called white-collar guys are just as dubious and criminal-minded as the yahoo boys they like to point smelly fingers at. They would always cut corners and do under the table office deals whenever the opportunity arises to make extra bucks.... And then form 'legit' Richie Rich for suckers who bother to take them seriously. May God help him and his young family. |

This is becoming a case in multinationals and international organizations where somebody will be sent on a course of 5 days or even lesser he will use the opportunity to go with his wife or her husband or the entire family. In some organizations, provision is made for couple, in some, the protocol dept will obtain visa for the family and subsidize flight ticket and other expenses. To avoid problem, it is better to go or prepared to sponsor your family. |

A few days course and he took his family with him? The main issue is not about taking his family, it is the unnecessary inconvenience of; - Not paying for the upgrade. Does his family not worth paying from his pocket? - Lying. Upon inconveniencing his company, he also tried to defraud it. No reputable company will keep a thief or liar as an employee, unless you're lying or stealing for a corrupt company that supports it. I hope he learnt his lesson. It was an expensive! |

Kizmarty:Compared to what he earns its would have been a just. The guy is pretttttyyyyyyyyyyyy stupid. Even if he wanted to be smart which is wrong by the way after the first incidence he should have known he would be under scrutiny. Guess it must be remote from his village.............. |

I dont blame him for taking along his wife. A good husband would want his wife to enjoy what he is enjoying at any particular time. I have a family friend whose wife takes him and their baby whenever she has to travel out on official assignments. But he shouldn't have tried to write it off on his company's expense. That is where he went off course. It is not his company's concern where he takes his wife to, as long as they are not picking the bill.... |

athough Nedu's action not wanting to pay the upgrade was wrong, i can certainly understand the taxi expenses. if the company just provided for a pick up at airport and a drop off then how will he go from hotel to training center?! if a car was provided to him throughout his stay then it is a matter of fraud. |

Kizmarty:bro, $50 is small compared to his salary as a manager in the said company. Even his one month salary may even be able to pay for a month rent in the hotel. To me i will summaries his action with the statement.....When smart is Dumb (culled from a book - Emotional intelliegence) |
