Life Is Short. Have An Affaire by Vivalavida99(f): 10:36pm On Jul 21, 2015
My four-year-old said something really funny in the car yesterday. He called my husband a "kissey face" and said that Daddy kisses everyone in town. I said, "What? Who did you see Daddy kiss?" He replied, "I was just tricking you. He only kisses you." After the minor cardio infarction that I suffered, my husband and I had a conversation about cheating. He said, "How do people who live in a small town have an affair? I mean, everyone knows that you're married, I just don't get it."

Maybe they have an account on Ashley Madison? Have you heard of this website? I hadn't, but today I saw that Ashley Madison was hacked and it's 37 million members are in danger of having their identity leaked. Yes, you heard correct, 37 MILLION MEMBERS. This dating website is for married people to meet up and have affairs with other married people.

Below is the Ashley Madison website information:

~Ashley Madison is the most famous name in infidelity and married dating. As seen on Hannity, Howard Stern, TIME, BusinessWeek, Sports Illustrated, Maxim, USA Today. Ashley Madison is the most recognized and reputable married dating company. Our Married Dating Services for Married individuals Work. Ashley Madison is the most successful website for finding an affair and cheating partners. Have an Affair today on Ashley Madison. Thousands of cheating wives and cheating husbands signup everyday looking for an affair. We are the most famous website for discreet encounters between married individuals. Now that you have read this, do you have any questions? I did. Here are a list of the questions, and thoughts that came to mind after reading about this company and the current security breach.

1. WTF? Is this for real?
2. No seriously, is this a real thing?
3. 37 Million people use this? Do these people have jobs?
4. If you're married, and have a job, where the hell do you find the time for a dating website?
5. I am really confused. Thirty-seven million people?
6. If life is short, shouldn't you love the one you're with? You know, the one you married?
7. Who is going to be liable for all of the murders that occur when the 37 million members information is leaked?
8. I hope John Bobbitt isn't a member.
9. I bet divorce attorneys love to advertise on this site.
10. If you're married, aren't you supposed to be monogamous? Am I thinking of something else?
11. You probably need to be really organized to cheat. I can't remember where I put my car keys. I would get caught in like five minutes.
12. Married dating is a thing? If you're married, why are you dating?
13. I am really having a difficult time with this.
14. This is the most reputable married dating company? There are more? Oh Dear Lord!
15. This website has a guarantee? How can you guarantee you will find the perfect affair partner?
16. This is a rabbit hole. I need to stop.

I am very interested to see how this security breach plays out. I am also baffled at the fact that 37 million married people are members of an online dating service. I guess monogamy is a thing of the past. Perhaps we are on the verge of a new definition of marriage. Maybe instead of saying "I do" people should say, "I'll try, but when I get bored, I'll try something else." Because life is short. Have an affair.

You won't believe it (yap, I'm in my gossipy mood this evening tongue),yesterday, I read on BBC online that the database of this Ashley Madison's infidelity site has been hacked, and the hackers are beginning to publish personal details of users in tricles.

There are even allegations by the hackers that the personal details of users who in time past have asked to be deleted were still in the database of the site; and this is despite the fact that such users are made to pay to delete their accounts. Ashley Madison has denied this of course.

I believe this is the beginning of the end for her. I say so, because she may not survive the avalanche of law suits that may follow the release of personal details of the users online.

The devil who gave her his cap has come for her head.

I just read that users were actually asked to pay $19 for account deletion and that's what the hackers set out to disprove, that nothing gets deleted afterall.
Now bringing it home, I recall how deleted monikers came back to life after NL resurrected.
So I'm thinking, once you put the info online, it never gets deleted. Hmnnnnnn

That's how they keep their membership numbers high. If you ask me, it's deliberate.
To keep their org. looking larger than it really is. If not, why can't they design their sites for people to go away permanently?

Like NL boasts of millions of users, yet the daily number viewing boards on a given day is in hundreds (when high)
Re: Life Is Short. Have An Affaire by Agunnewi: 12:07am On Jul 22, 2015
In Europe and Asia, in some current and several past cultures, having affairs was widely accepted and even considered good for a marriage. Some marriages were just marriages of convenience, so affairs were expected; others were marriages of love, but affairs were no threat to that being merely temporary sexual gratification. Both partners understood this. Think about it: two people marry in their twenties or thirties and could potentially live into their nineties. Is it reasonable to expect that two people can be sexually satisfied with just each other over that many decades, even two people who love each other deeply? No need to go all religious right on me, just putting it out there.

Apparently, this is a big challenge for them. Some young smart chaps somewhere are always ahead of them.

Most of the real names and other personal details were gotten from debit/credit cards used for payment on the website. I may just have to put my little chicken change in a non-card account. I refuse to trust any online security henceforth.

My husband will laugh tire if anything happens to this my change angry

Normally as part of online security, key info auch as names n credit is normally encrypted in the database

This will ensure leakages will release unreadable info.

This is poor considering the hacks which have happened previously ...Sony, etc

LOL... absolutely great article. My favorite is "Who is going to be liable for all of the murders that occur when the 37 million members information is leaked?" In the defense of men everywhere though... it takes two to horizontal momba... there are a lot of bored housewives out there just itching to get a little action too... #JustSayin

I'm number one on the list, Yippee, Americans love to be number one in everything, Don't hate the player hate the game, Who wants to spend fifty years sleeping with the same person? That sucks and the one's who say they do are pretending their mates are someone else while doing it!

The liner in this saga is that the dating site has 37 million users.I don’t know about you, but that number just floored me Lol.
The website has been in existence since 2001;Whether the data has never been deleted-the point here is that 37 million married men, women are cheats.Well according to Ashley Madison itself, we Americans are the biggest cheaters in the world. We also have the highest 'divorce rate' in the world - with over 50% of marriages ending in divorce.. As reported by the BBC.

Knowing the internet business,i will say 30 millions are men,5 million faked female profile and 2 million genuine females(so to speak). cheesy

Ashley charged 19$ to delete a profile like most other sites do(except not all charges); Your identifying details will be deleted, but messages and pictures you've sent to others on the site behave like e-mail, and you can't get them back.
For big companies systems need to be designed with some kind of expiration indicator,in the absence of these indicators there's no way to identify which records can be safely deleted.(i am suspecting the hackers to be an inside job).

I bet divorce lawyers will be making orgasmic cash register sounds just about now. They are probably begging the hackers to stop all these teasing episodes and release the krakens. grin grin
