elampiro: who said Gaal told Di Maria to hand in a transfer request. Can they bring any quote from 'people that matter'?
so di Maria's words don't matter in his business just like Rooney too didn't matter cheesy? abi what else were you searching for online?

LvG: its dependable on the player

Player: I'm not here for one season, I'm here to be a part of the history of this club

elampiro: they don't matter!!! according to reports, ....... undecided

I think the formation we employ this season would be even more important than any further additions to the present squad.
LVG has to utilize a system that is simple and effective early on rather than spend preseason and the first 4 months of the season experimenting on nonviable options.

I don't think he's in the same position like he was last season, he had little choice.
remember the 3-5-2 did very well in preseason, so probably that wad the reason he persisted a little longer with it than was necessary.

Forget that thing. Things happen over night. If Di Maria come out to say it now, after all these stories of PSG interest, then I will know he is not going.

How many times have we seen players said they are not moving. When summer comes and they see a reason to move, they will start saying it was always their dream to play for the new club.

PSG said they want Di Maria.

Gaal said it is a process.

My guy, anything can happen. Di Maria first love was even PSG.

....... The 27-year-old almost moved to PSG last summer before agreeing a move to United, but the French club were unable to afford him because of Financial Fair Play restrictions and the earlier £50milllion move for David Luiz.Di Maria has been given an extended holiday until 25 July after reaching the final of the Copa America with Argentina, which they lost on penalties to Chile.

"We shall see," Van Gaal said when asked whether Di Maria would stay."In football, it is a process. It's a process for Di Maria and Man Utd. We shall see."But he is still a member of United and he said he will come out on July 25.

PSG manager Laurent Blanc said last week when asked about a potential Di Maria transfer: "Yes. We have our priorities,” he said.“But to strengthen such a team you must target guys who are at big clubs and who arenot easy to prise away. That’s hardest for PSG.“Di Maria, he’s good. We have more freedom, but it remains a difficult project for us because we’re not alone in wanting him.”

More from Blanc. See the attached.

Until transfer period is over before we can be sure. Or when Di Maria comes out to say categotically that he will not look at PSG's interest. The problem also has to do with guaranteeing first team football. Di Maria in form will mean Mata might have limited appearances.

They are afraid. What if he doesn't hit that form?

Even Di Maria is not too sure what to decide. What if he gets benched in United again. I think he has fallen in love with the club and its vision.

they should forget about him then cos purchase of players is risky.

for those that feast on reports, oya ooo food don don smiley
Pedro:
While we are now all aware that Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Pedro from Barcelona, the player's wish to go the other way hasn't been as broadly publicised.

Marca were keen to rectify this on Friday when reporting that the player had allegedly told his teammates he wanted to leave the club and also notified the club's hierarchy of this.

The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the Spanish winger in the past, but Marca are adamant Manchester United is the only club he'll go to from here.

The two teams play each other on Saturday, and this could be the perfect time to finalise the deal.

Ramos:
Marca have gone all out today, and we're not talking about using a picture of Sergio Ramos in a turtleneck sweater on their front page.
Their headline, “United ask Ramos to declare that he wants to go”, is far from subtle and certain to cause a bit of controversy back in Spain.

Ramos still wants to leave, according to the paper, and the Premier League club are putting on 'total pressure' to try and sign him as soon as possible.

The meeting between Pérez and his new captain is meant to take place this weekend, and we fully expect sensational updates once this has happened.

Furthermore, one of the journalists over at Radio MARCA decided to fuel the speculation even further by announcing Pérez actually wants Ramos out of Real Madrid.
Pablo García Cuervo also states that Real Madrid are trying to make it look like Ramos himself wants out rather than the club trying to force him out. This all sounds very sneaky, but, then again, we wouldn't put it past Madrid to do such things.

Depay:
This isn't really a transfer rumour, but it kind of is at the same time.
Following Van Gaal's comments he could be working on a surprise signing, the European media have gone into a frenzy to try and guess who it could be. It appears that Metro News in Holland have got their own spin on this and believe Memphis Depay is the surprise signing.
Speaking to former teammates and Ronald De Boer, the interviewees all agree this could be the case thanks to Depay's (or should we say Memphis'?) qualities as a forward.

Ibrahimovic:
Unbeknownst to most, the controversial striker gave an interesting interview with Sports Illustrated in America last night, where he spoke about his relationship with Louis VanGaal. While he admitted their relationship was “not good” and it would be a “big problem” if they were ever to work together, he was also coy about not working with the Manchester United manager in the future.
Instead of saying “No, I can't see it every happening”, he instead stated they were both professionals and both have a job to do. Not really a denial, is it?

Gaitan:
Just when you thought it had disappeared forever (being replaced by
Pedro), one of the oldest transfer rumours to have ever graced the
internet rears its ugly head again. O Jogo report (once again) that
Manchester United have already agreed a €30m/£21m fee for Gaitan and are waiting for Di Maria to leave before finalising the transfer.

Benfica wanted United players as part of the deal previously, but it is believed they just want this over and done with. One important question in all this remains to be asked, though: Where does this leave Pedro?

Otamendi:
Valencia newspaper SuperDeporte are running out of things to say about Nicolas Otamendi. This week they've already said that the Manchester clubs are at war for the defender, but they're not committed enough to that war to go near his €50m clause. The €50m weapon of mass destruction hasn't been deployed and there are doubts over whether it will, but SuperDeporte state on Friday that Otamendi is still determined to get his move.

Di Maria:
Today was supposed to be the day he became a PSG player, or maybe tomorrow, or maybe before the end of the weekend. The French press have claimed so much on Di Maria and PSG that it's hard to keep up - but Friday saw no updates of note. Louis van Gaal didn't exactly exude confidence over Di Maria in his press conference but then the United manager seemed glum generally on Friday and tired of transfer questions.
Tom Coast.

Most analysts are predicting 4-3-3 formation for the season but we have played 4-4-2 in our 2 preseason matches.

If we are going to play 4-3-3 why not start from the early part of preseason?
Or does he intend to persist with 4-4-2 in the EPL?

he's actually played a 4-2-3-1. from my observations, if he's going to revert to a 4-3-3 later, it will be a double pivot variation.

he's stated that the first team that will play 60 mins against Barca will likely be the team he starts the season with. based on this we can hopefully get a clearer picture of what's up his sleeve.

If united smells £45 or £50 million from PSG di maria can _fuck off! And only then can the pedro deal be considered! As 4 Madrid, no ramos no de gea! Dey foolishly sold casillas 4 nothing! United is so wealthy dat dey can afford 2 allow de gea run down his contract and then he can also _fuck off @ the end of next season when we can now buy lloris from spurs or the ajax keeper 4 cheap! Otamendi is waiting in the wings so once he or ramos are confirmed then united would gladly tell jonny evans 2 _fuck off 2 everton for 10, 8 or 6million! As 4 the strikers the only viable options are:
1 Cavani because of dia love 4 di maria

2 Ibrahimovic cuz he would be cheap

3 Lewandowski cuz he is not german

Any other story about benzema, lacazette and such and such is trash! Simple!!!!

2nd- all time EPL goal scorer
3rd- all time goal scorer england & Manutd
I think i need to re-check the meaning of "Underated". Also not forgetting he is not a natural 9

he is older and plays better as a lone striker which isn't what LvG needs for his style of play.

Let me answer your question! I hope you know Zlatan is not as injury prone as rvp? His fitness and balance are outstanding, Then height in the box is what he would also bring which is sumtin we have lacked 4 a few yrs now! Do I also need 2 remind you about zlatans technical brilliance with a ball @ his feet which rvp lacks? He is also adept @
Taking free kicks and long range shots, is almost impossible 2 shake off the ball! He can also play as a support striker or as a center forward! He wud also be bloody cheap and He would be worth @ least a 1 year deal! This ticks all the boxes! There u have it!
