Gay and other things you think we should preoccupy ourselves with are the same.Evil beget evil.Animals have got no sense but i have never seen a male dog/sheep/fowl/lizards chasing or doing same sex, why should human do such?is it that animals are now more intelligent? hey!! something is definitely behind this vigorous same sex marriage, the truth will soon be let open.Trying to impose immorality on the world.
nobody is imposing it on anybody. Nobody has ever imposed it on me or my family. so why should i worry? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL PEOPLE HOW THEY LIVE OR WHAT THEY EAT. if its peaceful and no death, who cares?

I have gay friends, non of them has ever discuss sex with me cos they know im straight and they are friends to my girlfriend too.
IF YOU THINK UR RIGID OPINION ON GAY IS THE ONLY ANSWER, THEN THAT MEANS TALIBANS AND BOKO HARAM ARE RIGHT TO IMPOSE ISLAM ON PEOPLE BY FORCE.

Africans need to shun Colonial mentality which has eaten so deep into our psyches like a computer virus. Why should Kenyans be proud of their president for his command of English. Is he an English person? How many British Prime Ministers have any command of any African language and does that make their people ashamed.
That is not a trivial issue it is so deep in the psychology of the colonized they do not know it is there just like a Malware. Speaking English is ABSOLUTELY IRRELEVANT to the lives of ordinary Africans and those who harbour such thoughts need to do some self examination. I will ask a further question how many such people can write 2 pages in THEIR OWN language or EVEN TRANSLATE CLEARLY IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE WHAT KENYATTA SAID. Naturally you will find such people following Jesus or Mohammed to Mecca or Jerusalem.
Wake up! The Japanese,The Germans ,the Koreans and the ENglish do not pride themselves on speaking anyone's language. Let us take pride in who we are and stop trying to be like the coconut ;black on the outside and white inside.
I would have said you wrote well if you had written all these stuffs in your own native dialect. Since you didn't, you are more of a hypocrite than the ones you condemned.
There are few countries that are monocultural or mono lingual. These ones can afford to have a lingua franca other than the popular ones. So in your wisdom, which language would you adopt for Nigeria? Many African countries are like Nigeria, heterogeneous. Solve that before you rap with Afrikaan.

I do not have a native dialect I have a language .I am addressing an English language speaking forum so using my language would be inappropriate and I do not think you have the right to use the anonymity of the internet to be insolent. I have not spoken against the use of English so I do not know what YOUR POINT is. My POINT is English is a useful tool but it should be a secondary language and not a primary one and we should take greater pride in our proficiency in OUR OWN LANGUAGES and not ridicule people(like Patience Jonathan) because their English is weak. What is important is to learn our own languages first and to give that greater priority

Why can't he do it publicly like this African Hero did it publicly?

Has anyone seen the video?

Apart from what Femi Adesina said the dullard said we don't have any other information on that.

Why is the dullard not televised saying what they said he said so that the whole country can give him a standing ovation for a good representation.

Re: How Kenyan President Wisely Shut Down Obama On Gay Issue(video) by Boss13: 11:27am On Jul 26, 2015
I believe the Kenyan President said it rightly and he does speak for various African leaders. Africa has more pertinent issues than Gay rights. Africa need to deal with poverty, social infrastructure, power, corruption, security and its various economies before we can begin to consider less pertinent issues such as who to love or not.

I also think it is wrong for America to impose or infringe on the rights of other countries with issues like this because I clearly know that at some point Gay rights were illegal and it just recently became legal in the U.S. So Obama please show some respect to the cultures, customs and values of the countries you visit, just like they do the same to yours when they come visiting.

Obj, Yar Adua, GEJ and now GMB...none of them can speak like this man with strong courage and charisma. This are the kind of leaders we need in Africa. To match the Western leaders in all aspect.

I wish we can get this kind of President in Nigeria. I wish GMB can take some positives from this speech but unfortunately, he can't because his accent and intonation is bad.

Looking forward to the day we will get some eloquent, intelligent person as president of Nigeria.

Well talking of eloquency...May you should watch the way past presidents like Tafawa balewa,Ahmadu Bello,Murtala and Ibb spoke...There are individual differences in speech and that's y a professor in ss could not read and announce the Rivers state elections results.I think any person that understand queens English will hear and understand what PMB says.

If you don't know, please know from today, those who ask questions from presidents are almost always 'planted'.

Journalists usually submit their questions for vetting and some are outrightly planted to ask some specific questions.

Nothing is spontaneous, nothing is accidental.

Plus, Satan (Obama) made it clear on his way to Kenya that he would continue to pressure African leaders on his nonsense.

Now, on the topic itself... I come from a country where gay people get married.

The issue is that my country doesn't take religion seriously, that's why I believe they support gay marriage. I think that if the vast majority of the people had firm convictions of what the Bible or Quran say, they would be against gay marriage, but they don't.

Let me explain the point of view from my continent... They believe that, for example, if a woman is a lesbian, there's no problem, since it's her own individual issue. She is free to date other women, and love them, as long as she is a good person, I should't mind her own sexuality. She can still be a responsable student/worker, a sweet person that manages the family very well, fun to be with, etc. She's a human being after all, the only difference is who she chooses to love. In all the other aspects she may be a better person than many heretosexual people.

Now, these gay people are not that religious either, so they have no idea what the Bible says. That's why they don't think twice and go ahead for what they feel.

I understand the points of view of African people... But it's a really hard topic. People who are gay simply feel that way, they don't choose it. So in the name of religion we should help them change their minds, but with love. They don't intend to hurt anybody. We should comprehend them and help them become straight again.

Well, it is not hard at all for us. From time immemorial marriage has been between a man and a woman. If America has decided to make a meal of what we consider poo for itself, they can. What is insulting is trying to delve in our own domestic preferences.

I am certain they know the poo of the content they have served themselves and that is why they are insecure about others who will not seat at their table.

When you have you nice lobsters and shrimps on your table, you don't go making it a cause to make sure all the rest of the world eats your lobsters.

The least you do to all who indicate they are not interested is shrug and say "They don't know what they are missing".

The day I find any group of people clamouring over "you must must eat and enjoy my lobsters" I will run for it.

It happens to be we are not talking about lobsters here. We are talking about men poking themselves in other men

To some extent your words seem well reasoned but the practical hypocrisy cannot be lost on many Africans who watch on TV virtually every week these days as a Black person is slaughtered on TV by police or face other indignities on a daily basis in the US. We are painfully aware of the lot of black people in America compared to whites and we have not forgotten how silent America was to apartheid South Afria for a long time.

The point is the US is not perfect and does not stand on any higher moral ground that gives it the right to lecture others . What if an African leader visiting the US came out in press conference to lecture the US president about treating blacks equally. If nations are to relate as equal then there must be reciprocity and mutual respecct.Countries should not lecture others or meddle in their internal affairs.

I wonder what continent you come from and whether you notice the way different ethnic groups are treated and also if you are as outspoken on that issue
