Hi, I also went the online route, submitted 28th got biometric request the next day and had it done by 30th.
Now, my question is this, can u Pls explain the upfront medical part. Did u go ahead with the medicals without getting a request to do so? I didn't know that was possible. Hope I'm not dulling here waiting for a mail requesting for medicals.
Doing upfront medical complecate issues. if you go for medical examination whener cic as you to do is always faster.
The analysis is very simple, doing medical whenever medical request pop up on your application takes approximately one week, then what you see next is medical examination result, pass or fail.
Moreover, passport request also takes one week prior dispatched.
Up front medical complicate issues at times, they will have to merge your medical result with your application, i can see lot of peeps on the thread complaining about medical result or passport request.
So choose wisely.

the Dr told me they upload immediately when I did my medicals
He/She probably meant immediately your results are out and not immediately after you have completed your test.

Hello all,

I intend to submit an online application for a study permit, and was wondering do you guys think it is too early to apply for study permit for someone resuming in January 2016, or is it too late to apply for Sept 2015 admission?

Applicant has the option of applying for either intake, I am seeking you guyses advice based on current trends.

Application to be submitted at some point this week.

Thanks.

Now is the right time to start very seriously. These things have hidden delays which are beyond your control.
Go get your transcript from your school 1st, then you will understand what I mean.
Make sure you pay for a personal copy with which you can process admission into any school after the 1st application in the interim. As from today come here regularly and read back. Things are getting more difficult with passing days, the earlier the better for you to apply to schools(more than 1 school so u can choose the best option later)
No amount is too much from your sponsors. So try your very best. You may even consider 2 co-sponsors in addition to your Dad or main sponsor.
So set-forth at dawn for the required sponsorship documents with which to package your application. Best wishes

@soji are you saying that if i have an extra official transcript with me, i can send it directly to the school even if they say they want it sent directly from the issuing institution?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 4:36pm On Jul 27, 2015
Some schools accept scanned copies and give you conditional admission so you can just email the school to ask if they can accept a scanned copy of your transcript. If they say no, then you have to send it via courier

Hi everyone, after waiting for 8 weeks,I was delayed..oh well all thanks to God. Financial status and purpose of study was ticked. The closing balance of my sponsor was 15 million but he didn't state how much he will be giving me. However I already paid close to 1.5m for my tuition fee and the balance left isn't up to 1m. I studied pharmacy in uni and the proposed course of study is Food safety and Quality assurance (PGD) which is really not really related to my undergraduate course but I tried stating reasons in my personal statement.
My questions are can I apply to another school and also change my course...? Won't that sound like I am desperate or am confused?? Please I need replies and If anyone has changed his or course and was granted TRV...I will appreciate if you can respond...Thank you.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by olageeee(m): 5:02pm On Jul 27, 2015
yea you will need to have extra copies of ur transcript with you, cause u. would need to send to More than one school before a school will reply they are willing to offer you an admission.....

get it scanned nd send to schools you have interest in...but I will advice you let the gurus know the course you intend to study so they can easily recommend a particular school to you to save you stress and monie.... cheers

Ok. Write them an instruction to move the funds or if you have your debit card, go to your accounts office and pay with it. The exchange rate as at yesterday was N155.04/$1 which is very good.

Thanks GboyegaD....Just random thoughts.

My plan was to delare all members, but say 2 other dependants since my elder sibling will be through with school early next year. Another way around that ayooluwatoni advised is to declare all members, and state which level my other siblings are in presently(education wise).

I dont know if i'm eligible with the two schools i have on ground. I will check that out. But incase you have any in mind, your suggestion will be highly appreciated. Going for UG in Computer Information System or anything relating to IT.

***Appreciate***

This sounds cool.

Algonquin
Carleton
University of Victoria

Seneca

A co-op program gives you the opportunity to gain work experience, they give you a job placement which is part of the program. You can meet people, work hard, who knows, they can promise you a job when you're done with school (I know someone who got a job this way). Co-op can only be good for you IMO

Hello guys,
My application route was online.
I did an upfront medical on June 8, hospital confirmed submission on June 10.
Biometrics on June 15
Medical mail July 22
Confirmation of medical mail(with upfront slip and CIC medical form attached)
sent by me to CIC as directed by the clinic on July 22 night.

***Till now, no medical update from CIC.
Pls, who else has been/is in this situation?
I'm more anxious now than I was for 5weeks waiting for my app to get to this stage.
Thanks

I kinda had the same issue you have. I did upfront medicals in June but got the mail requesting for medicals d same date you also got your own mail.

I called Consultant Practice and they told me to send a mail to the embassy, which I did. When i saw the status hadn't changed i called Consultant Practice to verify the exact date they sent my medical result to the embassy. They told me. So I resent another mail to the embassy stating the day I did the medicals and the exact date the hospital sent the result to the embassy. I also attached the necessary documents (Receipts and all).
The status changed to 'Passed' last Saturday.

So I advise you resend stating exact dates. It's possible they by passed the mail or something. Hope this helps
