I dnt know where or when this bizare act started. We never did this during our time. On the day we wrote our last exam in school we organized a praise and worship session to thank God for seeing us through. If u passed through Ogun State University between d late 1990s and early 2000s, where cultism was at its peak, Aluta and sch closure, ASUU strike every year, u have every cause to give thanks to God.

My first encounter with this bizare water or paint bathing act was when i was running a masters programme in one of the Unis in d SS.
I saw pple chasing themselves up and ddown. At first I thought it was gang/cultists attack. I quickly took cover and went to observe from a safe position only to see this children carrying dirty water in plates, pots and bucket and emptying it on one girl & a boy.
i later asked one of my fellow msc students and was told they jst graduated. I was so pissed off.

So now dey have graduated from water to paints. Lord have mercy.

Waste of resources!

The last time I checked, a bucket of emulsion paint costs about N2000 or more. That's enough to buy some bottles of drinks (even if it is coke) for celebration. It is a more civilized way for a 'graduate' to celebrate instead of this crude display.
