Thanks VickyRotex for sharing this thread with me. I'm on Vince Flynn novels (just a pity that cancer had to cut his life short). I've read most of his installations. His books are centered on covert ops featuring a fictional character named Mitch Rapp of Counter-Terrorism Unit of the CIA.

I prefer covert ops because it enables me reason well on difficult situations. Some of his books are:

Term Limits
Transfer of Power
Kill Shot
The Last Man

Currently I'm reading Power, Politics & Death by Olusegun Adeniyi. It discusses events surrounding late President's Yar'adua's death et al...

Good one there. If I may ask, are you planning to foray into politics? Just asking!

You're welcome dfrost!

Really? I've heard of Vince Flynn, but not sure I've read any of his novels.

I love covert ops novels aswel. I don't joke with them, cos that's more like my area of spec.

Mitch Rapp will be a replica of Jack Bauer in 24hours right?

Do you have an e-copy of Kill Shot or The Last Man? Maybe I can start from that.

Not at all dearpreye although my folks and my uncle advised us to read books that are not related to field in order to acquire knowledge and interact intelligently. Like I said earlier I prefer more of covert ops books. smiley

cheesy cheesy Aspiring!

How about saying I'm actually watching it for the 6th time? I beat you to it right? grin

And each time I watch it again, I get new ideas and it's all like I'm watching it for the 1st time.

I don't watch movies that much, but when I see a good one, I don't let it slip off so easily.

How I wish there'd be a season 10.

Good aspiration, I must say. We must follow our passion if we must succeed and be fulfilled.

It's actually a very brilliant and scintillating movie. How those guys improvise in the most difficult of situations baffle me. The genii of Jack and Chloe are intimidating.

Seasons 4 and 5 are my favourites.

Thank you! smiley

That's the word! Brilliant and Scintillating!

Oh, Chloe O'Brian, I love the role she played.

Funny thing, I used to dislike her timid nature in season 1 and 2.

I call her CTU Jack Baueress, even though she wasn't the field type, she was a good cover from the inside.

I thought she was gonna die, like everyone Jack loves dies, but was consoled when she made it to the last season.

I remember when Michelle Dessler and Tony Almeida asked her to participate in the faking of Jack's death. That scene was wooow!!!

And Oh, David Palmer! kiss The best president! Twas sad to know he died cry

Wayne Palmer was quite good aswel, but not as rigid as his brother.

Not sure, if I've got a specific favourite. I love all. Season 3 to 9 competes for the favourite position.

You strike me as a very good writer . I like the way you flow with words.

They wanted Jack dead. And he was dead....at least to the rest of the world......The risks Chloe took to protect Jack were just too much. ...she kept trusting him. I particularly love how Logan was brought to justice.

Karen Hayes and Bill Buchanan: Chloe, what is it?

Chloe: I set up a conference call with the Attorney General. He's on speakerphone.

Karen Hayes: Mr Attorney General, this is Karen Hayes, Homeland security.

Bill Buchanan: This is Bill Buchanan, director CTU.

Karen Hayes: Mr Attorney General, I'm sorry Chloe placed this call without my authorisation.

Chloe; I had to do things under the radar to protect you.

Karen Hayes: From what?

Chloe: Is the Attorney General there?

Attorney General: Yes, I am. I hope this your recording is as real?

Karen Hayes: What recording?

Chloe: It's a discussion that took place 5 minutes ago between the President and his wife.

Attorney General: How could you possibly get a recording like that?

Chloe: Sir, an agent named Jack Bauer placed a listening device shortly before the discussion.

Attorney General : This is an egregious violation of privacy and we're talking about the President.

Chloe: plays recording.....

Martha Logan: because you killed David Palmer. ...

Charles Logan: I...I...didn't realise that was going to happen. ....

Martha Logan: Your people killed him to protect you....That was bad.....

Charles Logan....Yes yes, that was a necessary intervention....

Martha Logan: You sold nerve gas to terrorists...you're insane. You're insane. ...sobbing. ...

Charles: I did it as I saw it at the time.

Attorney General asks secret service agent Holson to initiate the rest of Mr President Charles Logan.

cheesy Thanks for the Compliment!

Chloe and Jack were like 5 and 6.

Awwwwww!!! I remember that part. cheesy

Chloe was pratically chewing her fingers here.

She was making her face the usual way she interpretes with her looks, more like "I'm sorry, but I had to do this" cheesy

Charles Logan was one of the worst President in 24.

His face alone annoys me!

Bill is also one character in the movie I loved so much, It's a good thing he sacrificed his life for the White House.

Karen became a wife to Bill. And she had to resign from Homeland cos of the pending issue Bill had with CTU.

Martha Logan, another funny lady! Her mental health history, made it hard for people to believe her.

But, she suceeded in bringing her husband to jusctice. Jack is just so good, after kidnapping Logan, he attached the listening device to his pen.
He already knew, that Martha will have such conversation with Charles. cheesy

I can go on and on and on. 24 Hours is one movie that inspires me more in my field.

I've succeeded in derailing your thread, by diverting to this movie.

Pardon me, I cant just let go of good movies. smiley
