Got d inspiration in church,its either writing or sleeping would've picked d later bt that'll be embarrasing and all cuz I'm in d choir nd all eyes are on me,so here goes nothing.

Another thing,the story you're about to read is fictional blah blah blah nd well, its mine so plz dont try to steal it or whatnot, cuz that'd be very bad nd I'll probably sue u for everything u own(just kidding),or I'm I?..........cue evil laugh...mua hahahahahaha

Chapter 1,

Hey! Liz here,or u can just call me Lizzy or Elizabeth, my mom does,although its a mouthful hence d nickname but my bestfriend calls me liz or izz,hold on I'm i saying this out loud? Point is I'm Liz nd I'm well, different, mom says I'm special but who are we kidding....
Mom's a single mom nd I'm d only child nd you do not wanna ask your single working class mom who strives to put food on d table nd single handedly training a child abt your father cuz sometimes all I get are blank stares nd a lecture of how she pushed me out of her womb nd have been training me all my life nd sometimes she just says he left nd then there's occasional tears nd cuz I hate seeing my mom cry,I drooped it,turns out he was a drunkard who got hit by a car(nd died on d spot)when he dumped my mom nd I when I was 2 mnths old,crude right? Yea I know.
So I'm d weird girl who talks to herself cuz honestly who best to give genuine advice than yourself right?

That's Miracle,my best friend, my mom says d big guy up there(God)just looked down at her nd said,one weird person is not enough in your life,you need two nd so she got my bestfrnd nd we like to think we're special, others just think we're crazy nd sometimes I think they got a point.

Well my bestfrnd got 3 huge brothers nd she's d last born(more like unexpected born). Her parents got her in their old age nd sad she's a miracle child(hence her name)cuz they've always wanted a girl nd then she came along,athough late,nd cuz of that she's treated like a queen by both her parents nd brothers nd d treatment kinda rubbed up on me cuz we're always together nd they're really protective especially cuz i lost my dad at such young age,bt I don't really mind,so there's that.

Miracle: but you do know my house is ginourmous nd we only get to celebrate once

Me: no way are we celebrating in your house

Our birthday's in two wks,yea, you heard correctly,we share same birthday, its just adds up to d long list of weirds in our lives.............

After two glasses of beer nd d walls start spinning, I realised I'm not a heavy drinker,cuz now i keep laughing at random things with my bestfrnd who is doing just d same.

Is she alright I heard my myself say,more like whisper,but I guess they heard cuz Mrs adebayo started crying again.
Plz tell me she's fine nd she's room resting it off I pushed,I'm so sorry Lizzy, Mr Adebayo continued,they said she had lost a lot of blood nd she died in d operating room,I'm so sorry sweety,Mrs Adebayo added midst tears, no no no,no way,I saw her this morning, she made me breakfast nd we ate nd laughed nd she kept complaining about an annoying colleague nd I told her to hang in there, she can't be dead,nd just like that my head started spinning outta control not cuz of d beer,but for d fear of there been a little bit of truth in way they're saying.
I'm so sorry izz,Mimi says nd pulls me for a hug, I wanna see her,right now i wanna see her,she can't die,she's all I got,she can't just leave, plz take me to her......

Beep beep......I hear machines beeping,I tried opening my eyes,but my eyelids felt heavy,but finally I squinted nd saw a faint figure nd noices 'saying she's gonna be fine',

My bestfrnd asked, yea I think so,what happened my head is pounding, d last thing I remembered is our party,y are we in d hospital, i asked holding my head in my hands, easy there sweety,d doctor said u have to take it easy,Mrs adebayo says, i'm fine,I just wanna go home,mom will be so worried I replied.........oh sweety Mrs adebayo says nd burst into tears, what's going on,I asked getting on my feet,its nothing u need to relax,everything will be fine.....

A week later.......

Helen Stevens was a good woman,a good doctor,nd a very kindhearted individual I hear d pastor say,as I'm surrounded by d Adebayos family, with Mimi by my right hand side holding me, she put herself before others she pastor went on nd that was pretty much all I heard until Mimi tapped me asking if I wanna say something, I looked up nd saw everyone staring at me.......I'm sorry I can't do this I said nd ran out of d church followed by Mimi.

Later my mom's casket was buried 6 ft under,nd relatives I didnbknow I had started trooping in sharing their condolences, i just nodded nd went on my way.

Is it bad that i havent cried since my mom's death i asked, i feel like if i cry then it's real nd that shes no longer here with me,nd it kinda hurts cuz i wanna so believe this is all such a bad dream nd ill wake up nd see her scolding me for something i probably did, its gonna be alrright izz, she pulled me in a hug stroking my back. Her mom walked in with a box in her hand nd handed it over to me,this is for u sweety,d hospital passed it down with her belongings but since u weren't stable,they said to give it to u,I thanked her nd took d box from her,she noded nd walked out,after giving me a hug,turns out d family really like hugs,cuz I've gotten over a hundred hugs since my mom's death.

What's in it Mimi asked? I don't know, look there's a note she says nd handed it over to me,thanks I replied, nd saw its from my mom,I'll he outside of u need aanything she said nd stepped out,thank Mimi i replied, anything she said nd with that vanished.

Mimi realizing its getting out of hand tried to jump in but just then Evans came over and started pulling joy out of the party after apologizing to Mimi and i and everybody else and with that they left, and soon we followed suit.

I swear that girl is a witch,why cant she just be normal, Joy said when we entered our two bedroom apartment. Joy told her parents she wants to leave off camp and since she's their little girl according to them, they gave her what she wants and we got an apartment outside campus.

Its fine,i guess i shouldn't have caused trouble in the first place,

you did absolutely nothing wrong,and that James guy or whatever his name is had it coming, he was lucky i wasn't the one he messed with else he wouldn't have let there without being embarrassed

Ever been in a position where u just wanna punch someone so hard and they'd break a nose, yea? Well I'm in such position right now,and she's kinda pushing me past a breaking point.

You might be wondering what I'm talking about,

Okay, its been over week since the incident at the party and I've been staying away from Evans although he has been trying so hard to talk to me,i just kept giving him excuses,and I've also been trying as much as possible not to run into Joy. So the past week has been pretty uninventful,going for lectures and back to my apartment and occasional outing with Mimi but tha was it.

So this Monday morning on my way to d lecture hall,Joy stopped me,

So much for avoiding her,I guess I can't really avoid her cuz we're in same sch after all.

She kept going and on about how I made she and Evans drift apart and I'm the reason he broke up with her.

I guess they're broken up

Knowing where it was headed, my eyes automatically shuts and I could feel his breath on my face.....

Chapter 11

Immediately our heads jerked back and standing at the door was a grinning miracle

Miracle: I'm sorry,did I interrupt u guys she said now smiling

Errm, no Evans said looking a bit embarrassed, and I gotta admit,he's face right now is kinda cute with him avoiding eye contact with miracle

Evans: I should go now,bye Lizzy,I'll see u later.. .

He said and with that sprinted towards the door because miracle was now closer

And turned to miracle to was still smiling and wiggling her brow.....

Miracle: so.......what'd I miss?

Me: *frowns nothing happened

Miracle: what'd u mean nothing happened

Me: I mean nothing happened cuz u ruined it, u had to show up at that time?

Miracle: well I'm sorry but,I didn't realise what I was wearing until a stupid boy yelled ' nice ass' at me

That was when I realised she was just wearing a singlet with bum short and her ass was, well let's just say it might be tempting to guys

Me: I'm sorry u had to go out looking like that cuz of me

Miracle: its fine, at least u guys got to talk,cuz I was getting tired of brooding Liz. So?

I asked,trying to walk away

Miracle: oh no,you're not going anywhere till u give me details

Me: there really isn't, he broke up with Joy although she kid of told me that already. You think he likes me?

I asked smiling

Miracle: of course he likes you, imean look at the way he looks at you and everything, and I know u like him too

I said and went to pour myself a glass of water and started gulping

Miracle: so I'm I gonna be your bridesmaid or what?

She said and stood in front of me....immediately the water from my mouth splashed on her face

Mirage: first of all...eww....second what to do u mean,with the way things are going,i won't be surprised,ivthere will be a proposal the next time

And we both laughed and i wenbon to to tell her about my day and she did same cuz we have different schedules,and later on went to bed

The next day I had was a lecture free day for me,so i decided to stay home and do my laundry,after I was done,took my bath and ate and decided to watch a movie, I heard I knock on the door. I went on to open it and there he was

Ok,my heart's gotta skipping a beat whenever I see him

Evans: do you know I still don't have your phone num

He said smiling

Me: well, hello to u too,come in

Evans: that's not why I'm here,you need to get dressed,I'm taking u somewhere........

Chapter 12

Me: aiit, sit down let me get dressed

Evans came in and sat down. So i went to my room to get changed in a simpe skinny jeans and top,wore a sandal and applied very light make up. When i came out to the living, Evans looked up and smiled at me.

Evans: are you ready?

Me: yea, but where are we going?

Evans: you'll see

So, he escorted me out to a car,and opened the passenger side door of the car for me to enter.i went in and told him thank you. He smiled and closed the door and went round to enter himself.

Me: so, you have a car? I didn't know that

Evans :yea, there are many things you don't know about me

Me: right. So are you gonna tell me where we are going now

Evans: nope

And with that we drove off, chatting and laughing. Soon afterwards we were parked in front of a restaurant.
I turned to him and asked, a resturant? He shrugged and said, I wanted to take you out on a date. 'Real smooth' i said with a smile, and he smiled back and led me in to a table. A waitress walked to us and asked for our orders, i just ordered for a fried rice and chicken with an orange juice, and she turned to Evans and as soon she saw him, she started tucking her invisible hair back her ear, (her hair is short) and she smiled wildly at him and asked for his order batting her lashes seductively. He ordered same thing i did without even sparing her a glance. She looked back at me and i smiled and she just walked away.

Me: she likes you

Evans: who?

Me: the waitress, didn't you see the way she looked at you and was flirting

Evans: I didn't notice, because of the beautiful girl sitting across me

My stomach did a flip, and I felt all giddy on the inside. So I smiled and then the waitress came back with our orders and we ate in silence. When we were done we were back on the road and he took me to a cinema and we watched a movie, and later he took me back to my house.

So, I'll see you later? He said after walking me to my door, yea, I nodded and he hugged me and walked away not forgetting to take my number this time. I waved him good bye grinning like a child that just got a Christmas present, then he drove off.

I turned back, opened the door to a a frowning Miracle who came immediately and hugged me

Miracle: where have you been? I've been looking all over for you, I called and you weren't answering, cuz you left your phone in the house, I thought something bad happened to you, I thought you had been kidnapped

Me: whoa whoa, I'm okay, and I'm sorry I forgot my phone at home cuz Evans came without notice and took me out on a date and I'm......

What! She shrieked cutting me off, he took you out on a date, I so saw this coming. So how did it go? Did you guys kiss or did you do something else? she said wiggling her eyebrow.

Ok first of all, you need help I said pouring myself a glass of water and second, nothing happened, we just ate and watched a movie.

I see twins in your future she said smiling and walking away to her room. You're crazy I replied, and Mimi? She turned to look at me, sorry I made you panick and thanks for everything. She came back and gave me a hug, don't mention it, plus, you're like the little sister I never had. You know we're same age right? I pushed her away smiling, believe what you want, but I'm older in here she said pointing to her heart and walked into her room. Yes you are i whispered and went to my room took my bath and went to bed still smiling.

The next morning i woke up early cuz I had 8am lectures, I got off my bed and started stretching and then my phone buzzed. I picked it up and read the text ' hi sleeping beauty, you awake? You know you have a morning class'.

I read the text and smiled, but then wondered how he knew I had morning class since i never told him, but shrugged it off and texted him back ' I'm up,just gonna prepare and go' and with that i went to take my bath, got dressed and went to the kitchen poured myself a cereal and milk. When I was done it was already 7.30am, so i yelled Mimi's name telling her I'm leaving, cuz i know she has no class in the morning, cuz we both have our time table pasted in the palour wall. Okay, be safe, she yelled back and went back to sleep i think. I walked out closed to door,turned around to see Evans leaning on his car.

What are you doing here, I whispered, I came to take you to school he whispered back and asked why are we whispering?.I don't know I said and smiled. Come on, you're gonna be late.I got in and we drove off to school.

Chapter 13

So how do you know I had morning class? I asked as soon we got to school. I know many things was he's reply and that was just one of them, plus, we're doing same course,only difference is I'm a year ahead of you. My mouth formed an 'o' then I nodded and got off the car to walk to my class but he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer to him

What are you doing? people are watching I asked trying to get away from his grasp but he pulled me closer and whispered 'i dont care' in my ear which sent chills down my spine. I'll see you later he said and kissed my temple before pulling away and got in his car and drove off. I walked past the people watching hoping no one says anything and thank God they didn't, so I just walked to my class.

The next day he came again and did same thing and i thought to myself, will this become a routine? But I shrugged cuz I liked the idea of it.

I'm gonna come pick you up after lectures today, he said as we got to school that morning, I nodded cuz so far, our dates have been fun with him taking me to the beach, out shopping and sometimes we just sit and talk for hours about ourselves.

After class, I stood up and began walking out the lecture hall when my phone buzzed in my pocket 'will take a rain check about picking you, I'm sorry, something came up, talk to you later'.

I sighed and tucked my phone in my pocket and started walking home. When I got there, it was empty, that means miracle's not home. Perfect I say to myself dropping my bag and lying down on the couch cuz I was exhausted.

Few minutes later I heard a knock, I grumbled and got to answer and asked who's there but there was no reply so I peeked in the small hole on the door but saw no one, so I slowly opened the door and sighed in relieve when I saw him at the door.

What are you doing here? I couldn't wait he replied and before I can let him in his lips were already on mine, my legs suddenly turned jelly and he noticed cause he held me by the waist for support, came in, his lips still on mine, closed the door. He asked requested passage and i willing opened my mouth cuz i wasn't really thinking clearly at that point and he deepend the kiss. We pulled out away to catch out breath, and he smiled and said much better, kissed me again and then opened the door and walked away,with me just standing there unable to move.

Chapter 14

I stood there, and instinctly my hand went to my lips, tracing on it for the warmth that was on it minutes ago

Whoa! Was all i could say and later went back to sit on the couch suddenly not being able to sleep anymore, and my stomach rumbled. Okay now I'm hungry I said to myself and went into the kitchen to prepare dinner for myself and Mimi.

10mins into my preparation, I heard the door open and close and my name being called from the parlor.

I'm in the kitchen I replied and then came in Miracle slumping on a chair tiredly

Mimi: I hate school, there's so much reading, and writing and learning, its tiring

Me: you do know it's just our first yr and the first semester too at that

Mimi: why do you think I'm complaining( turns to look at me)

Me: you are a strange one(smiling)
