I knew Rooney was going to be blamed for the lack lustre performance, no striker would have done zilch today, the midfielders were bereft of ideas going forward. Mata was zero in this game. How many attempts did kane have on our goal today.

United have bought and bought but the midfielders still play the same way, no urgency, too many back and side passes. I wont judge anybody yet. Till week 6. Costa had a world class performance, same as Kane, our opponent strikers are the best before they kick a ball.

You forget to notice that the team defends better. Schneidln kept harassing Tottnhm players. Darmian is better going forward and also in defence. (goodbye V25).

So based on yesterday's match the central defence was wack?? Na wa for u o. Smalling had a very very good match. Blind was shaky initially but grew into d match. Blind offers d ball playing ability that is rare to find in a defender.

The midfield needs improvement, that was clear for over two seasons but based on yesterday's match if d defence can be organised with Smalling making good challenges and stepping up to assist Blind we might not need to shell out millions for a new CB. For ur info Blind has played as a LCB in a 3 man defence so yesterday was not his first rodeo. Being a CB is not all about brawn, he showed some intelligent plays yesterday snuffing out balls and his excellent passing ability. If i were u i would worry more about having an impotent and sluggish CF in Rooney and Plato playing Mata/Memphis out of position.

Plato needs to get with the program and correct the imbalance in the squad with the quickness.

And by the way lvg has already said he is going to add a foward player to the ranks, most likely pedro from barca while chicarito has also been told to try and step up his game this season along with wilson! Our midfield is sorted! And by the way daley blinds NATURAL postion is in central midfield! All that left back and central dee crap that van gaal is doing are nothing but experiments! Kanes first sight of goal when he looped the ball onto the net was as a result of Mata losing the ball carelessly. Mata is good but wasn't all that yesterday, he is not a winger which is a minus if we keep playing him there. Its evidence in the way he plays, He abandoned the left wing, he gets the ball and drives inward and gets crowded out instead hugging the wing and beating his man. You were too harsh with the Mata criticism, Herrera is a great lad granted but to be honest, he wasn't kept out of the starting eleven by Mata's inclusion... Mata can only be replaced by valencia in the grand scheme of things, guess you don't want that happening?
