why do we keep talking about bodmas and not the sign itself? I could remember that my maths teacher will never see -3+3 and tell me three plus three but he will rather say "minus three plus three" which will be equal to zero. Those crying bodmas should try and understand how to play aroung sign too. Answer is 12 QED.

Lason got it wrong when he applied bracket without taking note of the sign; If you apply bracket to -3 + 3, it becomes -(3 -3) = 0

I asked my 13yr old son to work the equation and the answer he got is 12. and he did it without calculator and less than 2mins

really proud of him . no wonder he's been winning best maths students since JSS1.

Cancel - 3 +3 which is 0, then multiplication comes before addition, so 3*3 =9

3+9= 12

Real answer is 18 use illogical method

3+3= 6×3 =18 - 3=15+ 3= 18

So therefore the answer is 18
