Bristow not Bristol. Again its amazing that an organization like Bristow will encounter issues like this when their aviation practice is one of the best in the country. very sad, Rip to the dead. Rip Rip, so sad

Thanks God there were survivors! And I was feeling bad years ago when Bristow Helicopter didn't accept my application as a pilot. RIP to those who lost their lives. May God deliver us from evil!

Flying from Escravos to Victoria Island, crashing near Owonrosoki. That is certainly not how the crow flies as favoured by choppers or am I missing something. Who is familiar with that route.

A particular pastor predicted something about a plane with human blood sometime ago. Rather than pray to reject it, people will come here on nairaland with all their "knowledge of God" to call the person names.

Somehow, some of these predictions come true despite the controversy surrounding the person giving the prophesy.

We should be wise in this forum. Some people here unfortunately are just plain....... God! Im so angry!

Trust me I know how things like these play out. I narrowly escaped one offshore of Escravos in 2007. The first things that came my mind at dat dying moment were my mom and d money I Had in my account.

RIP departed fellows.

My last trip to naija, for a landing delay the pilot initially told us would be just 10 minutes , our plane was roving around lagos for 2 hours because of bad weather and God-knows-what. At a moment the pilot could n't tell us situation again for several minutes, with many jerking of the plane. I almost died of shock and thinking so this is how I would end it. RIP to the dead, it's not an easy experience.

Re: Dead Bodies From The Helicopter Crash In Lagos (Photos) by staggerman(m): 8:34pm On Aug 12, 2015
Bristow helicopters need to review their maintenance policy... Not long ago they were using an old faulty helicopter to transport workers to and fro one of the oil platforms in the Gulf of guinea. The chopper was known to show signs of defect in some flights. Sometimes losing some power, electrical systems going off, or even unable to take off properly.

It took the protest of workers through industrial action for management to compel Bristow to change that helicopter.

Human beings should stop making profit at the risk of other person's life.

Thank God for the survivors who employed their HUET skills. You don't need to know how to swim but only to know what to do in keeping with chopper briefing and HUET training. I face the hazards of flying with chopper at least twice every month and God has always been helping us despite some of the challenges we do face. We defy the risks and keep going. Man must wack. Man must survive. Hope my wife doesn't hear this news. God, we are in your hands. Though, I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me. That's my confidence.
You know the drill, but think of it, I don't even know what to type. This Gulf Delta came to my location this morning. So many questions in my head, unnhh. May the souls of the departed rest in peace.

. C'mmon, You can do better than this. do you know some folks working offshore are just third party contract staff with peanuts, and how much could the family be given that will adequately compensate for the loss of their loved one. A life is a life, no money can compensate a life lost, tragically at that.

Its not always a nice feeling bro .

I had an encounter like this in the Atlantic ocean in 2008 ,men were crying like babies ,some resigned from the job mid air while some of them were kabashing and I was like 'so this is it'? But I held on that fuccking window and made up my mind that I will not die that day .
After more than 2 hrs with a turbulent flight and an uncompromising weather we finally had an emergency landing in Bonny Island ,that was when I knew that I'm not gonna die anytime soon. grin
The funny part of the whole drama was an old guy that was suppose to have been redeployed to an onshore field - The man spoke in our local dialect and it was funny grin

The man said 'my small boy is in the UK schooling and he ended the talk with a loud 'Jesus'. grin
Omo! If it ever happens you can only pray that it should be quick and brief......No time for painful and agonizing death.

So sorry for the death of the 3 but still thank God for the 9 that was alive. Life is just a moment in the air, the owner can request for it anytime and this why it is very important for every one to live a righteous life because no repentance in the grave, if one would have told this people that today will be their end, they wouldn't have believed it, now were are the going to? Hevean or hail. You that is still alive typing RIP is not just enough but think about your life, if you die now were are going to? This is an opportunity to make peace with God because no amount of RIP that will give you peace if you die as a sinner, Think! Think! Think about you life after death and do away with all forms of unrighteousness.
