Your statement is foolish. Out of which heavenly authority do you judge people in such manner ? I have already given a logical explanation to why Ex president Jonathan was right. The only problem is the public which wants to turn his words against him. Also GEJ's intelligence is way above that of the average nigerian. That is why your likes don't understand a simple semantic discussion.

who is this that dampens counsel with words without knowledge.... stop spewing your trash everywhere you only succeeded in showing off your partisanship.

I guessed you didn't comprehend what the Prof. was saying. He neither approve nor disapproved what the former President said. His line of reasoning is that when the former President said stealing is not corruption, the journalist should have asked him to expantiate. The statement is open ended and knowing how deep corruption has eaten into the fabric of our society, the former President Jonathan shouldnt have made statements that is open to interpretation that seem to aggradize corruption. He ought to have fully explain what he meant.

Shoyinka is losing his usefulness to age. I am not a GEJ apologist but I see Prof committing the same offence he accused GEJ. Confraternity is not evil is the same as saying that stealing is not corruption. I was in the University for years in Nigeria and USA but did not belong to any confraternity. We know that Pirates confraterity set the the standard of killings going on in the Nigeria. When the graduate and find no jobs, they reorganize outside and take to crime. Prof should apologize to Nigerians and not rationalize on this issue.

What is noble about what he said. Is he trying to justify fraternity. Someone who doesn't believe in born again should not be giving any moral platform to talk.he should grow up

I used to be a great fan of this guy soyinka, but now he has shown his true face: that of deceipt.
When soyinka says this about buhari "he is a born again phenomenon". What I want to ask him is where is your proof ?
Each time people underline buhari's tribalism attitude and his dictatorial ways, buhari's supporters say that we should give him more time before concluding, whereas, someone would just come out of nowhere and categorically say that buhari is a born again ! Soyinka was one of the people who called buhari a terrible dictator as bad as sani abacha, soyinka said that in the 2011 electtions. And shamelessly soyinka is singing another music now. Soyinka, it is obvious that either old age is playing tricks on you, either you get money to say the things you say.

Soyinka is playing with the brains of gullible and unsuspecting nigerians. In a more developped country, these kinds of crooked statements like "born again" can not even be sold to children above 13. But frankly speaking, most nigerians are quite unintelligent and the old soyinka can sell them poo and contradict himself as much as he wants.
yu obviously don't belong to the intelligent group!

It is stupid cry if you know the stealing those people committed and ypu can not petition EFCC. I know PDP sent petition in the case of Amaechi but no one in the case of OOBJ and Tinubu. Even when Tinubu was drowning PDP, they were just tarnishing the man's image: no petition or prosecution since he was invited by EFCC during Yar Adua regime. Please if you don't have any petition on hand, leave Tinubu alone.

You see, it all becomes clear when you use first order logics. Consider the two objects "stealing" and "corruption".
You will have to conclude that: not (stealing = corruption).
Although if you consider "stealing" and "corruption" like two sets of committed or to be committed offenses, then some would have the opinion that stealing is included in corruption: Stealing < Corruption.

"killing" is not "raping", doesn't change the fact that they are both terrible crimes.

"beheading" is not "burning alive", and that doesn't change the fact that they are both murders.

when a guy contradicts himself and sells you words like "born again", you know he is a 419. Soyinka said in 2011 that buhari was a very bad dictator and that buhari was just as bad as sani abacha. Soyinka gave buhari all sorts of names. And now the same soyinka has found a formula to say the opposit of what he had been saying: "born again". Where you know soyinka is a crook is the fact that soyinka himself isn't even christian (yet the expression "born again" is entirely christian), he is selling you something he doesn't believe in. But he knows what he is doing. he is playing with the minds of the southern or christian gullible

The truth is that Soyinka like many , did not know Buhari at all. He only believed in rumors and cheap character assassination stories filling those Nigerian media aggressively hostile to Buhari all those years. He (Soyinka), like multitude of others, is knowing Buhari for the first time - in recent months.
