Sureb0y, I feel your pain bro.

I've bn reasoning about this sad news and I feel this act was done by an 'angry' Nigerian working @the embassy.
The decision for RP is taken in Finland. How will it then be revoked in Nigeria.
And also why use phone call.

I believe the step to take should start with visiting the Embassy. Get it clear from them. Provide receipt of PAYMENT for your insurance.
Do not use mail for now. Face to face will be better. I know it'll inconvenience you and scatter your plans.

(I hope and suspect someone might just wanna play pranks on you).

You will be in finland bro.

Other suggestions by other bosses. NOTED.
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by iceberg54: 12:51pm On Aug 13, 2015
Sureb0y, who spoke to you on phone?....A Nigerian or a Finn?

If they wanna verify anything, its usually done before RP is granted. Also remember they themselves recommended Mutual benefits and AIICO, so they definitely have no problem with verification.

And also, they would send you a mail not a phone call. If its a Nigerian that called, i honestly have doubts on the allegation. Those naija embassy staff are the worst set of people on earth (after ISIS and BH). But if its a Finn, then you can consider earlier suggestions. Get all necessary documents from Mutual benefits, Let them write Finnish embassy directly as well. And try to book an appointment at the embassy to see them face to face. If its indeed a fake document they gave you, then they should be ready to cough out some millions in damages, for sure!!.

It is well bro!

@everyone thanks for your suggestions. I appreciate it. I've been patiently thinking about the best way to go about this, no point reacting to this present situation without a plan.

@iceberg I got a call from a Finn, I recognize the voice, it was the same guy who interviewed me. The same guy who withheld the insurance certificate in the first place.

Here's my understanding of the whole issue:
My application was examined in Finland and approved. I was to wait for 2-3 weeks as usual for the card to get Naija. 2 weeks later, like it's supposed to be, I got an email from the embassy asking me to send my passport and cover letter for my RP card to be returned to me. I stated in the cover letter that they were still holding my original insurance certificate (they asked us to indicate if we had any docs with them, remember? So I had a right to indicate and ask for it. 31k no be beans).
Now, it was at this point they must have remembered the insurance stuff and decided to revoke the RP.

This raises more questions than answers. Why didn't they try to verify the authenticity of the insurance certificate before I even went for the interview in the first place? Isn't that the whole point in sending out documents 2 weeks prior to the interview? They had the time to verify and check during and after my interview. Even before making the RP card. Now they're coming up with this! It makes no sense to me.

They had since forever to tell me about this issue, they didn't. Until after pressuring them. A whole international body couldn't reach me on phone and they saw no reason to contact me through email. Even without being a lawyer or a god, it's clear to see that something isn't right.

God dey sha. I don dey plan my trip to Abuja...
That's the update from me.

still baffled at your situation bro. never seen such before. everything about the whole ish isnt adding up but i hope something good will be done soon. i still dont get the point of sending documents 2 weeks before the interview because in most cases they do not do anything to it till you visit. i remember during my interview, i was asked if i sent the waec scratch card and they had to open the envelope again to confirm. i think its just a way of the embassy in abuja acting nigerian.. i know the RP can be revoked but i have never seen this kinda situation before. i mean who revokes a permit issued few weeks earlier? well, i suggest you schedule an appointment with the embassy prior your visit there. you may be denied entry if you dont... i wish you a speedy and favorable resolution

Sorry i have been ghosting here for some time. I tell u, u won't understand! But seriously i can't but identify with my brother 'Sureb0y'.
Speaking some guru for here, this is the advice. Approach the ish from both channel. Hold the insurance company responsible. They should even be the one spearheading the fight. They wont like u to go public with such information. So ur fight should start from there. Involve a layer and a media person in the struggle, they will supports u freely hopefully. Then the other fight should go immediately to migri. Don't depend on the abuja parole, they will just delay the matter and eventually there wont be any reasonable head way. If at all u want to submit any query for abuja u should do it through mail directly to the consulate (consul). Go through the process for appeal and follow the format with migri. Baba! abeg no dull ooooooo. This one no be ishe aiye or what ever and don't start to think irrational or helpless. Don't point any accusing finger especially at the embassy personnel, just be logical as possible, cos i bet u, if it is a Fins decision, he is just doing his job and no any personal strings.Baba i believe it is just one of the challenges to the top, so face it!!! cool
