It's an issue when it comes to Rooney but all strikers do it.

All strikers rarely stay in the box, except a pressing side like Arsenal.

Aguero and Suarez are pacy forwards. They can afford to drop deep into midfield and help wit the defence and then get back up front in a flash wen the team is on a counter. Rooney played like dat in 09/10 season wen he still had some pace in him. But he cant play like dat now. He's older and he's gotten slower.

So many times on the counter yesterday wen Mata had the ball, Rooney was always behind the ball. A striker o. Behind the ball on a counter. Thats why all of our attacks were goin thru Depay. Watch and rewatch the highlights of yesterday's game and notice Rooney's position wen we scored and wen Mata gve dat pass that Depay missed.

There was a counter started by Rooney yesterday in our own third from a set play. By time Januzaj got the pass Rooney was already in the opposition box. Unfortunately Januzaj doesn't know the meaning of counter. He is more obsessed with beating a man.
