congratulations. this particular advanced diploma course has won a lot of my guys TRV of late. I begin to wonder if its because the school didnt tag it fasttrack but accelerated. Or is it because the school grouped it under postgraduate programs. Something must be there to do the trick.... nightwatch: |

SeraSera: @ soj, I read it somewhere and I also raised it here sometimes ago, but some people said it doesn't matter! I think it does matter now. Funds available for applicant's trip/study cannot be in an offshore account. It should either be in the applicant's country of residence or destination. I don't know the reason for this, but I can guess......we all know VOs have a way of verifying authenticity of SoAs, submitting SoA from another country may pose a little bit of challenge in verification, as they may need to go through the embassy in that country and all other kinds of time wasting procedures that they cannot afford.....pls note, I'm only guessing, not like I'm a VO's younger brother. So I think your sister's TRV was granted because of the transfer that was made into her student account! So they probably were able to verify that such fund exist and that it is sufficient and available. I really think we should stop making this mistake, if your sponsor is in a country other than your country of residence or destination, let him/her either transfer money to your naija account or to Canada in your name. I stand to be corrected though, but only by those with sufficient proofs. |

Olawunmif:I really would have strongly advised you not to declare you have a hubby in Canada, but since u did dat already in your previous application, u should just go on with it. But pls get a sponsor here in Naija, even if your husband will sponsor you, let him send you the cash or pay it in ur student account so as to boost up the funds available for your studies. You will need to state a very strong ties that would bring you back to naija after your studies......because your surest tie (your husband) is already in Canada. |

Hello house! I have been a silent follow of this great Trend for awhile... Submitted my first application on 25th June in lagos, I got a mail today that the application has been sent back to lagos without medical mail, we all know what that means. My question now is I plan to refire for January 2016 but my course isn't available at my school for January intake. I plan to apply to another school same mechanical engineering related course. Does that have any implication on my recent application? And also a one year fast track course instead of long 3years diploma. Please I need response house. Thanks |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by ayooluwatoni(m): 9:31pm On Aug 17, 2015 |
deedee0:it is not compulsory ur sponsor transfers money to you, and if he does, it will not be regarded as money lodgement or lump sum, as it is intended for a purpose and your sponsor will consent to the lodgement in his/her sponsorship letter. I think the main issue is using a sponsor having an offshore account (account that is neither in Nigeria nor in Canada, for an applicant resident in Nigeria and seeking entry visa to Canada). In such a case, it is imperative to transfer money either to the person's account here in Nigeria or in Canada! |
