You do not understand the balls needed to implement the restructuring of the country.
Does Jona look like a man with balls?
For som1 who resisted his godfather and even made a move Buhari never did in 2011 which resulted in the death of so many and who did quite a lot to free some sectors held at the jugular by a certain group of ppl, now those were very strong moves from a man who ur likes in APC termed clueless. no one is perfect and of course he cudnt do evrytin he needed to do to sanitize this country but he sure gave it his best shot. Once the majority (the south as a whole in this case) supports the restructuring I dnt think one wud actually need too much perauasion or balls as u say to implement. Power still does lie with the ppl u knw... ask Libya and Tunisia and the rest.

Obafemi Awolowo legacies had been long strangulated by Yoruba leaders: a big ghosa to Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, big shame on all other South-West Governors save Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

It is a crass disaster and a slap on the entire yoruba nation that majority of the south-west APC Governors had chosen to flagrantly disregard the requisite honour meant to be accorded the late Icon and deity of Yoruba kingdom, the Oni of Ife during the burial rites.

They should be sanctioned!!!

It was during my OAU years that Ibadan-Ife was done and even before i graduated, it was already a death trap. i think this was completed before the road that led to Ilesha from the outskirt was started?
That road almost killed me in my oau days. My jallopy 1987 jetta took off from the ground like an aeroplane after I entered into a deep pothole. The car landed and bounced slightly before it stabilized. na dat day I begin to respect German machine. I think this was in 2004.

The Ooni was a conspicuous PDP leader. Those governors must have felt the brunt of his partisan politics. But they should have shown some courtesy for the traditional post that he held.

The problem with the Yoruba race is their inability to forget the past and move forward. Nobody is holy. Some of the people commenting here will do worse things if they were in the Ooni's position and some are merely castigating him out of sheer jealousy that the Ooni has the type of recognition their king can never dream of. But nothing can be done about that. That's the way history has it. You may try but can't rewrite it.
When will Yorubas learn to forgive? In the words of the legend Ogunrinde, Yoruba ronu. E jawo lote. An eye for an eye leaves everybody blind. MKO Abiola denied Awolowo, a close friend of Ooni Sijuwade and the hero of the Yoruba race his right and also worked with some powerful politicians to deny Ife the capital of Osun State so the Ooni probably didn't see the need to support Abiola's mandate. Instead of condemning the thief you blamed the owner for not keeping his belongings properly. Now, the Ooni is no more, some Yoruba cannot accord him the last respect. There are obas in Yoruba land who openly support APC. Would these governors have done the same if they were the ones who passed away? If errors were what God watches, how many of us would stand? The earlier the Yoruba learn to forget the past , the better for the race. If not, in the words of Lagbaja , mo sorry fun gbo gbo yin o. That's why the Hausa are better.

This is what happens when an Oba turns himself into a politician. He was a PDP member and therefore his work lived after him.

If Yoruba people refuse or fail to respect their traditional stool, they should not expect any other tribe to do so. Osinbanjo was not there in his capacity, rather he represented the President himself, now tell me protocol wise, was it right for the host Governor to have hurriedly left the State? we should learn how to separate an office from the occupant in other to preserve the sanctity of that office.

I think out of respect for the institution and not the person, the Govs should have attended the burual. That could also have served the purpose of gaining more loyalties in the enemy's camp. We have to learn not to be seen to be hitting hard at a man who is already down. PDP is dead...and buried, at least in the South West. Now we need to get their foot soldiers in our camp so that we can serve the greater purpose of unity and progress . Yoruba roonu o. Jah bless.

Did GEJ and Patience attend! Did OBJ attend. Did other kings from Yoruba and Benin attended! Was attendeed by Yorubas in Brazil! I have told people that cared to listen, Ooni almost sold Yoruba integrity if not for the likes of Tinubu and the Olubadan of Ibadan and Alake of Egbaland. Who brought the Obas to Ife to pray for GEJ...Ooni! Who openly supported the reign of Abacha cos of oil blocs...Ooni! Who betrayed Abiola...Ooni!

Which past are you forgetting! If you forget, yorubas will never forget! Ask Jonathan and IBB, and you will get that Yorubas don't betray their conscience for flimsy things
