I was with my friend when he was called and told that his dad has died, but he didnt cry, i even asked him but he didnt answer me he just smiled. i had it in my mind that he is not normal.

It depends on the kind of relationship he had with his father.He could be in shock or probably not moved.

I remember when my mum died. I so much wanted to cry but couldn't. I forced the tears to come out but none did. At least, i sud cry and mourn her, to show how much i love her. I remembered looking at her lifeless body on the bed. Her skin still oily. I probably got my oily skin from her. I loved her so much, but i felt like i betrayed her by not crying out so loud. I could feel the weight of her death upon my heart but crying was much harder than i thought. We all have different ways we mourn. U didn't see tears in his eyes doesn't mean he's not moved.

Maybe the dad has been very sick and it has always led to him thinking about worst case scenario
Maybe he has emptied his tear-bag during the process..
The smile could just mean " This is the worst that can happen"
