Because we have several unattended mental cases in nigeria.
Because bipolars in nigeria are termed possessed! They kill theirselves because NONE undergo therapy or counselling.
Because not everybody is strong like you! There are people who are mentally weak king Tom! Aren't you a doctor? There are very many mentally unstable people in this country roaming the streets, sitting in offices, running the government and the truth is THEY DONT KNOW THEY NEED A SHRINK! Because we are in a country where we joke about EVERYTHING! The fact that some folks don't resort to suicide doesn't mean they are "stable", some channel their frustrations on others, thereby becoming nuisances to themselves and other sane and insane people in the society! Do you find it normal, please( i don't find it normal) to watch or participate in watching criminals burnt alive?The ALUU 4 VIDEO till date haunts me like hell, so bad that video haunts that I relive every moment of what i saw, it replays each time I remember it.It goes straight to my brain and affects all activities of that day.

Now, I need you to understand one thing, you think you don't have any problem because you can't commit suicide, and so those who are suicidal has problems. I agree with you.But you have the bigger problem here, Yea you do, your problem is ignorance, and it's a very bad disease.It's like cancer, it eats deep into the fabrics of our society.

So sad!! Believe me, I went thru whatever that guy went thru but the definition of strength (it is having the mindset that all will be well and staying resilient and determined) is not having all the muscles and I won't call quitting cowardice too..

It could be very saddening when the person you expect to love you more than anyone else treats you like an outcast or like a slave.

All of you commenting here and calling him names will do so because it is either you met a loving mum on earth or you didn't meet any. All man for himself and don't be the judge of the dead, let God be. By the way, some people, rather than killing themselves, would have killed their mother who actually hurt them so I don't see why this boy should be cursed even in death.

May God never let me hurt my any of my child to this extent. I only wish the guy had ran away from home and found solace in God.

Who knows what his mother might have put him through. Some mothers without knowing it can make their children feel so inadequate, especially when they are never tired of comparing you to their friends or neighbours children who are doing well.

Would you be emphatic and understanding if I killed myself while people were still being owed by me? In 2007 when I was wrongly accused of being involved in cultist activities and suspended with all panel members advising to GO AND PICK JAMB FORM because I'm finished, after 6 years of studying gynaecology do you think I should have found a rope a stool and a ceiling fan, I should have chewed cyanide abi? Would you have been empathic if they told you a CULTIST KILLED HIMSELF? Before you give me the whole Africa castigation bullshit I will say one thing, when I spent some time in Edmonton, Canada people jumped off skyscrapers ending their lives for stories which I'm sure you'll be shocked if you hear, the Canadians would hiss call and ambulance and get on with LIFE. yes LIFE that's the key thing, I don't think I'm better than them because I can't commit suicide, I think I'm better than them because I know amidst all the trauma and everything, life is the most precious gift.
