If Buhari thought she had a chance he would have long presented her name to the Senate. Remember her appointment came before those of the new service chiefs who has already been confirmed by the Senate

He was removed without any cogent explanation! No one has even informed the people who is the most senior INEC official,by virtue of appointment date.
Now,the lady was appointed and the PDP is protesting that she has shown bias in the past during the ward delineation and her interference in Jigawa,her home state. Balarabe and Yakassai have averred in the past that PMB spent part of his early childhood in her father's house,the palace of the Emir of Kazaure because his elder sister was married to him! If it is true,then,it is a case of nepotism!
Instead of beating about the bush,PMB should categorically deny that he is related to her by marriage. If it is possible,he should even list his sisters husbands,just to clear his name. A little suspicion is enough to soil a name irrepairably.
There is no way that she will be confirmed in the Senate because 49 senators are PDP members.
It is left for the President to consider other options who has no baggage, e.g. the REC of Edo State,Mike Egini. It is on record that the Cross River State Gov publicly begged that he should be transferred to another state because he was too stiff. He has been consistent in elections that he conducted.

Useless newspaper!! It is not the perogative of the president to conform her as the substantive INEC chairman.He can only forward her name to the senate where a 2/3 majority vote is needed for her confirmation.

we are in a democracy not a benign dictatorship. Why do you think that Tinubu was asking journalists to make the work of PMB's spokesmen easier? The era of Decree 4 is over!
For your information,a vote of 2/3 of the Senate is required to confirm an appointee. There is no executive fiat that can escape that. Go and revisit the Obanikoro saga at the NASS! I foresee a stalemate.
As for PMB's body language,I laugh at the simple mindedness of Nigerians. We are still stuck in the military era. Do you think a President can threaten the Judiciary and Legislature and survive without a bloody nose? What we need in Nigeria is strong institutions,not strong men!
