if the person has a cool 1 billion naira in a secured offshore account then he/she can think of returning it with the possibility of facing jail time but if the reverse happens to be the case then nobody will return any penny.

But you're one of only few that has the courage to admit. I know of an Igbo guy who found over $70k dollars in a public place over 20 years ago. He returned it. A hustler in Europe for that matter. Over 95% of friends called him foolish or suffer head or said his village people were after him. If we had so many honest people in 9ja as people claim, we won't be where we are now. grin

The truth is there's no political office holder from governors, ministers, president that haven't steal far more than this. If they've been returning such money there wouldn't have been all this news of looting the country. The good news from what I can see here is Nigerians know they're being ruled by thieves.

No Nigerian official will return such money. In fact, they pray such opportunity present itself.

Some mnths back, an Igbo lady working in an airport picked some millions and returned it 2 d airport's mgt.And i learnt dts nt d 1st or 2nd time she hv bin picking such money and returning it 2 d mgt. The lady in question is 4rm Enugu state and she works in dt airport as a cleaner on a mnthly salary scale of 7thousand naira. These money she use 2 pick r alwaz in a hidden place, atimes tiolet bt she wil pick it 4rm dia and return it 2 d airport's mgt.
This last one she picked, got everybody making both positive and negative comments abt her.
Bt wht pained me most is dt airport's mgt. Instead of dem 2 upgrade her and @ least giv her a promotion 4 all her gud deed, wht they did wz jus 2 giv her one yeye plastic award as a regonition.

I pity her dt day. Dt's naija 4 u.
