naijaking1: This is another level of tomfoolery. You mean Aguiyi Ironsi was naive by killing the prime minister 'Abubakar Balewa' and Ahmadu Bello both notherners n heartlessly dumping Ahmadu Bello's lifeless body by the roadside on the street of Lagos ? How about if Nigeria had retaliated killing Ojukwu and Nnamdi Azikiwe like Samuel Doe ? Trouble go sidon you go find am start shouting murder. Others should just watch you kill their leaders at the same time boast about it. Na only una sabi do coup. Why not orchestrate a new coup to realize Biafra or when you slaughtered Abubakar Balewa' and Ahmadu Bello in cold blood the Hausa/Fulani agitated for HausaFra or FulaniFra ? I wonder what part of history some of you Biafrans actually read. 1 Like |

OfBiafra: Word ! Biafra should desist from blaming others for their woes because from introducing military coup into the Nigeria polity, abolishing true federalism replacing that with Unitary governance and the first tribe to slaughter the sitting prime minister of the federation I in my own little knowledge do not see how anyone of you can calm intimidation when you are obviously the aggressor. 1 Like |

finniblinks: This is quite shameful. The annoying part is that people like the OP hero worship their governors and village chiefs who have received $$billions, over at least 2 decades, from both the federal government and oil companies, for the purposes of developing the land and cleaning up the mess, but who instead looted the funds. Some of the morons are still calling for their "father", Ibori to be released from prison, so that they can give him a hero's welcome and hopefully, some crumbs from the looted funds may be transferred to their personal accounts. ayokellany: More blame games! Suffice to say, I do not agree with your submission here, but more importantly I seek to be separated from your kind and I am sure you would desire the same if you were biafran considering the actions of Nigeria following that first coup. Please agitate for your own republic, I can honestly tell you that the deaths of millions and the devastation of our lands and psychy is a barrier to remaining in a union with you. Worse still, the unrepentant stance of Nigeria as a whole reassures our commitment to be separate from you people. OfBiafra |

huangcheng:Kaduna refinery was built to take care of the distribution of distillates to the Northern region which unlike Lagos has no waterways where ocean going vessels can ply, berth and distribute distillates. Lagos has no refinery but the NNPC facility at ATLAS COVE was built @Tarkwa bay to take care of the distribution of distillates brought in by ocean plying ships to the different NNPC depots in Lagos and SW region. The North has no such waters. 1 Like 1 Share |

Huangcheng should wonder why the Niger-Deltans GEJ empowered with $ billions did not build refineries or build common schools for the poverty ravaged Niger deltans. With such daft, hollow and intellectually deficient followership, one can understand why illiterates like Asari Dokubo could take them on a ride for 6 years, to the extent of investing his loot in far way Benin Republic, leaving the suffering poor deltans like his ilk that lack common toilets. Just today, we heard there was no drinking water in Otuoke, the Retardeen's own hometown. An then he comes to whine because Northern businessmen like Aliko Dangote are building refineries out of their own sweat. No wonder the ibos are now taunting the ND for not owning any oil facilities. cc: francizy 4 Likes 2 Shares |

huangcheng: Of course, they fulani and yorubas know that. That was why they seperated the "stubborn" Igbos from the other smaller tribes of Eastern Nigeria by inventing a new cardinal point called "SS" so that they can have field day feasting on them undisturbed. hausas and yorubas are parasitic leaches. Thunder fire them! Thank God they are now waking up to the new Biafran reality where the word "minority" is a taboo. 1 Like |

jaymichael: Michael like i said before, you build tank farms for storage of petroleum distillates not refineries. In economics, there are 3 key areas to a possible production frontier. On this discuss, i'll settle for one which is "Productive efficiency". PRODUCTIVE EFFICIENCY: The ability to produce a good using the fewest resources possible to yield maximum output for the minimum cost. - Investopedia Before an investor set up a production firm he considers 5 important things; 1. Availability of raw material 2. Cost of Labor 3. Market potential 4. Overhead cost 5. Transport infrastructure Given the above string of parenthesis as a private investor, will it be a wise idea to situate a petroleum refinery in the North? 1 Like 1 Share |

Fulamafia: Biafra believes in "freewill". Biafrans aim to restore the Biafra that existed peaceful for 5000 years before the first Europeans (portuguese) came. The Biafra that lugard tried to destroy after drinking his bottle of whiskey and landing on top of his mistress. That peaceful Biafra includes the Igbo-speakers, Izon-speakers, Ogoni-speakers, ibibio-speakers, efik-speakers, Idoma-speakers, and so many tribes and tongues who existed and traded mutually even before the birth of Jesus. God drew the map himself just like he drew the map of the US, Great britain and other great countries. Have you ever seen any sucessful country created by man? Nigeria? leopoldville(congo)?. We will not allow arabized awusa/foolanis/yorrobers from the brown deserts like to tell us where the Biafran map stops and starts by redrawing the natural Biafran map with their leprous cursed fingers! Never!.

You keep running around in circles. Immediately after the oil boom, Federal Government commissioned BEICIP to carry out feasibility studies: (a) to determine national demand for products (b) Consumption pattern and (c) number, size and type of new refineries needed to meet demand. Feasibility Studies’ Findings; a) Petroleum Products Demand was growing between 6 – 12% p/a for all products (petrol was the highest. LPG was the lowest) b) Two new grassroots refineries were needed immediately to meet the demand. c) It is generally cheaper to refine crude oil locally than import products. d) Consumption pattern was generally as follows: 45% in the West, 28% in the East and 27% in the North. Actions taken : 1. Warri Refinery project was awarded to Snamprogetti SPA of Milan in Nov. 1975 after an international bidding exercise. The capacity was 100,000b/d, cost was US$478million for a 30 month project duration.! The refinery was completed and successfully commissioned in September 1978. 2. The Kaduna refinery Project was the second of the two new refineries the Federal Government decided to build. The choice of location was a strategic decision, since it was far inland from the source of crude oil supply. The refinery consist s of two types of refining streams: a) 50,000b/d for Lubricating oils, waxes and asphalt production and b) 50,000b/d for regular fuels, LPG, PMS, Kerosene and Diesel 3. The engineering, procurement and construction contract was awarded to Chiyoda Engineering and Construction Company of Japan in 1976 at a cost of US$525million. The duration of Project was 36 months. The refinery was completed in September 1979 and commissioned soon thereafter. Hopefully it can penetrate your dense skull in a few words, the decision to site a refinery in kaduna was strategic. Anyone else is free to build their own refineries in Onitsha, Aba or Yenagoa if they have the capacity. huangcheng: |
