It is simple economics of demand and supply. His major competitors' market share are increasing while Dangote cement hold is reducing. What does that tell you? Consumers are buying more of his competitors' cement. That translates to lower profit/margins. So, to recapture the market, he must reduce price to attract more consumers.

The major competitor is Lafarge SA.
