Yeah I should have said easy after studying the handbook not just walking in lol.

5 times? Compared to the UK I found the US driving test at least in Illinois very very easy.

But yeah OP should download the handbook ( I promised the link already) study it a few times especially the signs and do the written test then the driving test.

Stewee:

The written test is kinda tricky but once you study the handbook it's a breeze. Their driving rules here is a little different.
It's really funny how they fail those tests here... One lady told me it was her 5th time of trying, but she passed that day. grin

Good day fellas and ladies, does where one work really matter in getting an F1 visa as regards studying computer science (the individual should be working in a computer rabid related to the course he or she wants to study)?
She graduated last year in architecture but wants to study computer abroad, would that have any negative impact in her visa pursuit?

Yeah oo I am but work load is insane. Plus I have to teach undergrads.

15 credits? That's a lot. Final semester can be like that at times sha.

Final semester should be the easiest if you know what you're doing on time. I registered my last 5 credits in the final semester.

NY road test is very hard. Many NY drivers got it after more than 1 trial. I don't have to retake any road test when I was giving up my NM for NY license. However driving on NY roads is crazzzzy... top speed if you can handle it. I do 80/90 mph on highways depending on how spirit moves me and 10 above speed limit in streets. All my road violations were from few mph above speed limit in school zones.

Ahhh NY.... that's a different story lol

NYC is one crazy city. I haven't driven there before and I don't think I will like to.

Yeah i can see how a driving test in NYC will be hard. If i was to take a driving test there I would go outside NYC where it is a bit calmer.

For the Illinois test what I found was as long as you stop at every stop sign or junction even if no sign and keep to speed limits you're good. For the UK you have to deal with roundabouts, smaller roads, parallel parking, 3 point turn etc all on manual drive lol. I passed on my 3rd attempt.

You may be able to use a B1/B2 visa for such a short course.

It is better to start your research with the US Embassy website and also google generally, then come to Nairaland if there are any specific queries.

Below is a link which explains how to get a visa for a short course.

http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/getting-us-visa-short-recreational-part-time-study-course.html

According to the US government website below the B2 visa can be used for short courses not leading to a degree etc, but it will be best to confirm with the organization where you are taking the training.

Yea, NYC road test and driving is crazy. The motor department keeps reducing the speed limit but no one minds. Just last week, they posted new speed limit around some streets. The bold is required in NYC. Too much things to do, too much extra markings on the streets and just few mistakes lead to cheap failure. My wife did her 4th test last year, soon she will go for the 5th trial... she's too anxious during road test. Probably she will go to NM where she'll be eating drumstick during the road test.... na joke o.

School zones? Ahhhh that's a NO NO!!!
School zones and Airports are easy places to get tickets...My uncle screamed it into my ears, luckily no traffic tickets yet. I was pulled over once, the officer said I was "changing lanes too frequently". My pilot uniform saved me that day.

School zones are equipped with cameras here. Your speed readings at the time, plate and car photos, a short video clip along with your ticket will be sent to you in an envelop few days after been caught speeding.
