Lol some comments here are quite hilarious.. I agree with the OP, snakes are more scared of us that we are of them. I remember sometime ago, I was walking along the road with two of my friends and I noticed a green snake crossing the road, my friends hadn't yet seen it. I was looking at it to see how fast it'd cross the road when suddenly one of my friends screamed "See snake o" and the snake turned and slithered back into the Bush. By then, they've already given the place a very wide berth, it was amusing. I told them that if they hadn't screamed, the snake would have just gone on its way without bothering anyone. I try to tell anyone that cares to listen that snakes don't bother people... |

wat did God say about snakes in the days of Adam he cursed snakes and because of snakes he cursed us human in Genesis 3:14-19 ''he said and I put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise his heel '' snakes are deadly the guy that said snakes don't. attack sleeping people that's a lie, about the feeding a python can feed twice a year yes that's true but it on the food it takes small prey it will feed for 100million times but large prey it can feed twice a year. if they are lovely animals created by God why did he curse them. I prefer a dog to b?it me than a snake a dog bit can be treated two days after the incident but u can't do that for a snake bit a snake bit kills within minutes some hours and it also damage the part it bites it because of snakes we are like this |

Richybang:First of all, I don't get why u had to quote that bible verse as it has no relationship with the topic. In fact, if u understand the meaning of "the serpent bruising the woman's seed in the heel and the woman's seed bruising the serpent in the head" u wouldn't bother bringing it up here at all. Secondly, show me where a snake attacked people in their sleep. 3. Yes, I did say that pythons give gaps in feeding according to the size of their food, so I agree with u on that, though 100 million is exaggerated. 4. God didn't curse the snake. The bible mentioned "serpent" and i'd advise you to go find the meaning before drawing ur theory. 5. Snake bites are deadlier than dog's but are very rare. I repeat again, a snake will never attack a human unprovoked. However, I've seen cases where dogs attack, injure and kill innocent people. In fact, 98% of dogs in their comfort zone are prone to bite a stranger if the owner is not around to control it. And do you know dogs have biles too, and their bites can kill? So whatever u think is ur own choice but, please, never accuse the snake responsible for your present condition. It's just an animal like your dog and they were all created by God |

guy you make me laugh is it a dog, lizard, or hen that God cursed please which Bible do you read may be it's the ABA version or what go read your Bible very well my friend God himself would have regretted creating it this same creature made us like this this same creature made God curse we human this same creature has killed lot of people a snake don't know it's owner but a dog does keeping a snake as a pet is a game of life and death 99.9 % chance of dying and 1% chance of living let me give you an example I have been bitten by a snake twice when sleeping in my compound I have seen on TVs and news were a. couple own a snake and it killed there baby snake killed a baby and also were it kill a man who was just reading paper outside his home. you haven't had any encounter with it that's why you are say bull shit meet people who had encounter with it they will tell you there story |

Richybang:And i'd advise u to study hard so as to be able to differentiate between snake and serpent. or what go read your Bible very well my friend God himself would have regretted creating itGod doesn't regret creating anything. If at all, the only thing He would regret creating is human this same creature made us like this thisSnake didn't make u the way u are please. Be objective same creature made God curse we humanThe first humans' (Eve and Adam) disobedience made God to curse humans, not the snake nor the serpent this same creature has killed lot of peopleVery wrong theory. Dogs have killed more people than snakes. A snake would only strike once for self-defence and flee, if provoked. A dog would INTENTIONALLY PROVOKE, bite, crush and might even kill if nobody intervenes. a snake don't know it's owner but a dog doesVery ridiculous post! So u actually think snakes are unintelligent creatures because they can only hiss? Look here, snakes, tamed or wild, are very intelligent! Feed a python with crayfish today, tomorrow it would come back to pay you a visit. This is not a make-believe, it happens. [s]keeping a snake as a pet is a game of life and death 99.9 % chance of dying and 1% chance of living[/s]Wrong assumption, wrong theory. People keep pythons as pet and even curl them around their neck. The snake knows it's owner very well. Only on rare occasions would it rebel. Of course, it's an animal let me give you an example I have been bitten by a snake twice when sleeping in my compoundNo snake bit u while u were sleeping, stop lying. That u hate the animal doesn't mean u should tell lies against it I have seen on TVs and news were a. couple own a snake and it killed there baby snake killed a babyI read the story too, it happened overseas. The parents of the baby admitted their irresponsibility by leaving an unfed python to guard their baby. A hungry man is an angry man, not to mention an animal. The baby might have provoked it too, but who was there to defend it? There was a recent case of a dog eating out the head of its owner in Asaba. So.....deuces! and also were it kill a man who was just reading paper outside his home. you haven't had any encounter with it that's why you are say bull shit meet people who had encounter with it they will tell you there storyThe rest of your story doesn't add up. I'm sure you made it up to justify your wrong opinion about snakes. This animal fears you far more than you fear it. Please try and study the nature and characteristics of these animals before you start lecturing people in public |

black mamba do attack without provocation.....#fact |
| Re: They Still Support Snake Brutality On Nairaland by TheHeGoat(op): 8:07am On Sep 12, 2015 |
elMacho: The venom of the black mamba is highly toxic, potentially causing collapse in humans within 45 minutes or less. Without effective antivenom therapy, death typically occurs in 7–15 hours. The venom is chiefly composed of neurotoxins, specifically dendrotoxin. The black mamba is capable of striking at considerable range and occasionally may deliver a series of bites in rapid succession. Despite its reputation for being highly aggressive, like most snakes, it usually attempts to flee from humans unless threatened or cornered.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_mamba |
