I just feel the dismissed officers to be may become a security risk to the country. However, dismissing 65 out of 420 might be best known to authorities involved.

I hope this government is not on a nepotism and vengeance mission.

Two weeks ago, the police officer who aided the escape of Kabiru Sokoto was reinstated.

About three weeks ago, the soldiers who played informants for bokoharam were reinstated but now those who in no way are threats to the nation’s fragile security are dismissed from service.

Some blind supporters will applaud these dictatorial tendencies.

ones a cadet doesnt meet requirements, or is indiscipline the services shows him/her the door, no matter the years of training Quality is critical

The hypocrisy on this thread is so alarming that even Satan condemns it.
Look at people who should be calling out these folks for the wrong and grave injustice which they have done being so economical and gentle with the truth - because Baba is involved, he can do no wrong. I hope for Buhari's sake that he is not aware of this.

That Marilyn Ogar's sister was among is enough to start flying the bonkers of vindictiveness and intolerance which people have alwayz talked about on the part of Buhari.

If they talk about nepotism and back doors, for heck's sake, Daura should not be heading the DSS as he has proven to be partisan, and probably a relative of Mr President.

Who sacks people without telling them exactly what their wrong is?

Since when did it become a norm to dish out sack letter first and then announce on TV why you are sacking them?
That is being sheerly inhumane and playing to the gallery.

If it is wrong, it is wrong....either ways you look at it.

I sense that there will be more to come of this flagrant display of bitterness, vindictiveness, nepotism and abuse of power.
This is just the beginning.

Recruitment into DSS suppose to be base on merit not backdoor tinz. Am suppose to be shortlist bt i dn't hv anybody in govt.

How is this a welcome development? The North is gradually taking over the Country and we are applaudimg them. This is how they took over the Military years ago not until the advent of OBJ and GEJ. Now they have started again all in the name of fighting Corruption and we are not seeing anything wrong with their actions. Well, I pray we don't regret it in future.

Whether advertised or not? Based on how far they have gone, it is in the interest of national security that you make exceptions.

It is in the interest of the DSS to state to them clearly...Exactly why they were sacked.

I don't know but it's 4k from Abuja, so expect something like 3k or 3.5k. If you can break your journey, it will be less. From minna to Birnin Kebbi should be like 6 to 7 hours. If the vehicle is fast, maybe 5 hours

Even though many of them were employed by the DSS via nepotism, I really don't think it is wise to lay them off like this, the level of information and intelligence they've been exposed to shouldn't be compromised.

Like one of the trainee said, they should have been absorb by the police or even Civil Defense Corps.

While those people remain outside the DSS, owing to the training they've had, the security agency will be watching them closely.

Minna to Tegina is about 35 mins, Tegina to kontogora is about 1 hour 10mins ...very curved roads. From kontogora to Yelwa is about 1hour, From yelwa to Jega is about 2 hours and from Jega to Burning kebbi is about 35 mins. Just budget a good time of 6 hours and you shd be there....take note that I can't speak of the road situation. The last time I pass that road was in 2004. Good luck.

Minna to Tegina is about 40 mins, Tegina to kontogora is about 1 hour 10mins ...very curved roads. From kontogora to Yelwa is about 1hour, From yelwa to Jega is about 2 hours and from Jega to Birnin kebbi is about 35 mins.
