To be fair to the DSS, yes, the vacancy was advertised. There is even a thread for it on Nairaland which I have visited this morning and where this news too has been posted. I actually applied too and took the test with many others in my state of origin, Oyo, but did not make the cut eventually. The government could have good reasons to have dismissed the lot, but its sad for those affected.

i think Their recruitment process wasn't legit, but again I believe it's a waste of government resources to dismiss this significant number. We will wait for what the DSS will have to say about this move.

Our National security is politicized, compromised and these will compromise it the more and will be a threat to our Nation. How can a sensible Government sack well trained security personnels like that? God help us. I hope, Buhari and Daura is aware of the future consequencies of these singular act. Despite current security issues all over Nigeria. Boko haram is in the North, OPC in the west, MASSOB in the east and Militants in the south. Buhari use your head because everything is not suppose to be political witch hunting as usual.
