What's going on here is what I will call a well planned systemic scam. The op lagtech will advertise something for sale, collect people's money & keep hold of the money for 1yr & above, every week he comes with new excuses, custom, shippers, police, etc, sometimes he goes AWOL for months only to resurface again, then maybe some two or three lucky persons will get their items after tons of threats & curses... & the cycle continues

There is no mega fraud I've been aware of that I didnt put an end to as soon as evidence was presented to me. I abhor fraud. If dragnet was aware of what was going on, he certainly didnt inform me about it and none of the victims has contacted me directly to report the case.

Can someone give me a report of what is going on here exactly? Can I have the names of all the people who have been scammed, how the scam was perpetrated, etc? If the evidence is sufficient to convince me that he is scamming people, I will ban him permanently. So far I have only seen the allegations in the posts that mentioned me and those on this page but no details of what he did. Please tell me your stories.

Late last year-I lost a storage in the USA with almost 200 laptops including high end HP elitebook laptops-many of which had already been paid for by customers.

Thank you sir. We are doing our best. Sea shipping Items left Minnesota 3 months + and landed last month. The shipper like I later discovered is a 'green horn" but I assure you your items will be in your hands very soon.

Lagtech told me he used a different shipper for the November shipping and this shipper is not the same as the 'green horn' shipper whom he used for the July 2014 shipping. Just to clarify things. I seriously pray that one day we shall all have cause to smile.

One of the great challenges of doing business in Nigeria is that the moment you default, are unable to carry out an obligation as at the agreed time or owe money-you are automatically a fraudster.
I would understand if the business is labeled bad or troubled or “buyer beware” but to call it a scam-makes no sense-unless there is another meaning to the word scam.
I lost several shipments of customer items including laptops, phones, ps4s with resell value in the millions-partly due to the activities of a green horn shipper and my own haste. Since late last year-I have refunded or made replacements to most customers. Over N1 million has been paid between late last year and July this year. And in that time-most customers have had deliveries made to them.

If this thread and my business is a scam-then the management of Nairaland should as a matter of necessity ban me and shut down the thread. But in order to continue contact with customers-and have them collect their items/refunds-the management may decide to leave the thread open and not ban me. That of course means that I am not a scammer. Why is a scammer making deliveries, shipping items and paying refunds.

In the last 2 months-we have made deliveries and refunds to several Nairalanders including the following listed below from N2000 to N80,000. No gun was put to my head to fufuil this obligation; you did not get involved before this was done, neither did the law or any 3rd party have to do anything to make this happen.

No –one has been scammed and no one will be scammed. There is no successful business in this world that I know of that at one point did not owe customers or vendors at a point in time. And most successful businesses that I know of had had to suffer failures and falls before finally succeeding.

1) In the 9 months of 2015-we have not collected money for any new product from the general public as pre-orders. Any payments have come from existing clients who wanted orders done for them with the exception of 2 individuals. And as part of my efforts to compensate –commission was not collected and in most instances shipping has been free.
2) Just today September 14th-a Nairalander (Nostalgia21) paid N95,000 to procure an iphone and Laptop . This same person is among those still expecting items-if he felt that he had been previously scammed-why would he make such a payment. In the last 2 months-I have equally ordered and shipped an iphone and laptops for him.
3) Last week-we delivered items to 4 Nairalanders (gwagoga, ariyebaba, gbemiga1, resourceman) as replacement items. This week another delivery will made.
4) 2 weeks ago -a Nairalander Mr Tolu-co-owner of Kobomart Logistics mistakenly made a payment into our account. He was among those being owed items in the past-but has since gotten his items/refunds. The money he mistakenly paid was refunded to his account. Wouldn’t a scammer just claim ignorance of any such payments.
5) I am not owing people millions of naira. The total number of customers left with items not delivered or refunds not made is 36 as of today and by next week –it will be 29. By the end of the month-it should be done to 14.
6) I have gone to extra lengths to remedy the situation. For example-several people paid N3000 for Dell Latitude D600 laptops last year via sea shipping. One of these shipments has not been delivered. Like many other replacement items-I had to in one case buy and ship by air a Dell D600 at a total cost of $80-only for the owner to open it 2 weeks ago when it got to Lagos and see that the screen had cracked-he rejected it and I still have to make it right. Another person ordered 100 pairs of jeans and clothing items –also by sea. One portion of this was not delivered-I had to get replacements and ship them by air. The total cost of the original purchase was $100-the total cost I have spent to ship the replacements (besides the cost of procurement is $150) -that individual will be picking up next week.
7) I have been sending weekly updates by email to all customers and I come to the thread at least once or twice a week to provide updates.
Between January and September-much of what was originally owed has been paid or delivered and the rest will equally be paid or delivered before the year ends.
9) More deliveries to owners for original or replacement items will be made on:
Monday September 21st
Monday September 28th
Monday October 1st.
We made over 700k of refunds between Jan and July. Refunds will re –start again before the month ends.

10) I am in this to the final round sir. Our recovery is slow-but it is steady. I have learnt my lessons. I understand the anger of aggrieved customers and already have a plan to compensate them when all this has settled. I have apologized to those we have offended and I will still apologize. I am making right all wrongs done. When the last person has been paid /item delivered-you can ban me from Nairaland for life. Non est defectus an option.

ahhh, mogbe! What do you mean by "lotso" the storage?? I remember we paid for that storage...so please explained what you mean by "lost". Was it tsunami or hurricane?? You claim to have refunded up to 700k or so and everyone has received one thing or the other in the last month....I AM AN EXCEPTION. I have not received jack from you and I have not received any explanations, just apologies....so now that you're claiming to have lost over 200 Elitebooks we paid for, what is going to happen?? Another question is why did you not open up to your clients For over a year?? There is a thin line between someone who lies or hides or bends the truth and a scammer. You have given everyone reasons to call you by such appellations. WHAT IS THE WAY FORWARD?
