(Nmax - Nattained/Nmax - Nlowest) x 3 +1
Nmax=highest possilble grade
Nattained= grade attained
Nlowest= lowest pass grade.

Since you have 2.91/4.0

While Assuming your Institution's lowest grading point is 1.

The calculation goes thus:

(4 - 2.91/4-1)*3+1

2.09

Which means you can apply for an Msc course in germany, bearing in mind that the required CGPA for admission is 2.5 below..

Remember, your letter of motivation, ielts, work experience (if available) also plays a great part.

Hope it helps !

My dear people,

I don relax finish. Its time to move forward.

@XTIANmaha, I did my insurance this morning @ Industrial and General Insurance located at 94 Broad Street, Marina Opp. Skye Bank and Wema bank. Just hold your international passport and your 14,500 naira;

I had my interview on the 11th of August, I funded before my interview, got the DB alert the same day of the interview, but I couldn't access my mail until after I had left the embassy, sent my confirmation same day and got the approval on the 9th of Sept.

I hope this helps.

Please does court certify transcript too. Or It should be sent directly by the issuing school.
Williamso:

If your prospective school requires that your transcript be sent directly from the issuing school, please do that. However, all the schools I applied to (including uni-assist) required only certified copies, and all my certifications were done at Federal High Court. No institution had a problem with that.

To add to what williamso said, regardless of weda your sch requires ur uni in naija to send the transcripts directly, you mite need a copy of it. Most schools are strict at issuing transcripts to students directly to avoid manipulation. So herez a lil tip.
You could send the transcript to a recognised company. Then make sure you ve a representative who can retrieve d doc for you instead of spending money and time requesting transcript for each application.

That is where certification comes in. When you ve official transcript @ hand.

@Femi, my advise to you would be the same as the one given to me by the Zees, hopefuls, and Obiwans: PUSH from both sides and ensure not to sound desperate.

"both sides" implies
1. the foreigner office in the city where your school is located.
2. The visa officer in Lagos that sent you the mail to fund your account.

Don't waste your time and resources except if your school do not specifically mention a minimum Grade point entry.

Ur welcome.. Send an email, try not to sound desperate. Just casually ask what the status of ur application is at this point. Use your visa application number on the subject.
As for ur aliens office, it's it's just like an immigration office. They normally have to review who is coming in to the country, why and how long. They make the ultimate decisions as to whether u get a visa, or not. The embassy take the order from them.
So now find online the Ausländer Behörde of your intended city and start pushing hard, from both sides. U don't have much time left.
Good luck!

That was a very wonderful suggestion, but won't the German Embassy in Nigeria find out and will they not think you are going behind their back. Just thinking cos i am in the same shoes and my deadline is October 1st

Someone in this trend has summond courage to ask d VO about this but the VO said its not possible because ur application has been programmed with a block account info.

Please others can throw more light on this because I still stand to be corrected.

Sorry but the answer is NO, not possible. You'll have to get the cash or probably ask for a deferment if your school allows that

reason for my denial was that " They doubt my serious intentions for my purpose of travel" etc.

anyway I was actually going for a B.sc (applied biology), a course different from my previous studies Engineering.

My advise to the 2016 visa hopeful is to try to connect their reasons and intentions for studying in Germany especially for unrelated course and BSc courses (since most BSc applications do not request for motivation letters) before facing the VO. Let some of your armour be heavily criticized here before you take it out into the real battle field.

Follow other people's step to start your appeal leo...it is well.

It doesn't work that way. U normally have a right to inquire about the status from both sides... Have no fear . Push from both sides. Otherwise they will dump ur papers somewhere and forget u.

Here is a sample i drafted for a friend and the response was swift and quick.

Dear sir/Madam,

I am ******* ******* ****** from Nigeria and have gotten admission for the masters programme in ******* at OTH Regensburg. I write to enquire about the status of my visa. I had my visa interview on ********* and had fulfilled all the visa requirements, the last of which is the funding of the blocked account and which I have done and forwarded evidence of same to the embassy last week.
My school have mandated that I should be at Regensburg by ********* in person for enrollment and would want to get my visa as soon as possible given the short period I have at my disposal to travel and other continent arrangements. I plead that my student visa processing be done in time so I can meet up with all necessary preparations.

Please find attached a scan copy of the data page of my passport, admission letter and proof of funding.

I look forward to studying in the beautiful city of Regensburg and at OTH Regensburg.
I hope to hear from you soon.
********* ******** *******

P.S. I may take this letter down soon, as me self fit use am.
