zendy:I don't fully agree with you. In the US, some states indulge in death penalty for hideous crimes. So death penalty for corruption isn't really an indicator for backwardness. |

babadem2much:very good point. Thousands suffer more from executive corruption than from ordinary armed robbers and kidnappers. Yet in Nigeria, the latter crimes carry the death penalty. 1 Like |

I would recommend up to 15 to 25 years in prison plus confiscation of assets, and a compulsory life ban from participating in politics, doing business with any government institution directly or indirectly through owned company, being a card carrying member of a political party, being on the board of any publicly quoted company, and more punishment to deter offenders 1 Like |
