Good job by the CCB. They should thoroughly check the rest of the former governors's and and current governors's assets declarations and file charges as appropriate. I believe most of the former and current governors and political office holders would be guilty of the same offences.
No selective prosecution please. No witch hunting. This is why we must change the law to require public declaration of assets. These false declarations could have been detected by the attentive public long before now.

Well said, but there is a way ministry or agency can be handicapped by politicians or government of the day. Just like in the case of EFCC where Aondoaka decides what case is prosecuted. Some of this information already available with no go ahead to act body language from the government of the day. If what Buhari can only achieve in his 4 years is to root out corruption and impunity, then he would have cured 90% of Nigeria sickness.

Atiku stepped on Obasanjo's toes and he was turned into the face of corruption.

Now they are just remembering that Saraki is corruption personified just because he stepped on Tinubu's toes

At what point are we going to fight corruption just for the sake of fighting corruption?

The current strategy of only fighting political opponents and terming it fighting corruption will not lead us anywhere, it simply makes politicians to move camp to dominate party or camp and continue the looting and avoiding stepping on toes.

Many people here don't have an understanding of what these useless politicians are doing to he destiny of this country. If somebody should declare what has not been sold to him as part of his asset, don't you think he will go all the way to make sure it gets to his hand. Look at the millions involved in buying those things. Does anyone here think that a million naira is too small to bring about the change his or her business requires? Many people with wonderful ideas are been hindered of becoming what they ought to become all because some people are in power to loot what belongs to the hole state and at the end of the day, they will be flaunting the wealth in the community and we will still be praising them when they donate a tiny amount out of what they have stolen.
My people, let's put politics aside and face reality, until these people are dealt with, they will be having free day and there is nobody to stop them. This same Saraki is involved in the issue of intercontinental bank conspiracy. You see his hand in so many dirty things.
If they use him as a scapoe goat, I don't mind oo. Let them vomit what they have taken and be punished for taking what belongs to others.
This is not an issue of somebody likes Tinubu or not. Let justice be done and it will serve as deterrent to others.

That's just the plain truth. They want us to concentrate on the specks in other people's eyes while they have logs in theirs. Nobody says they should not 'fight corruption' but anybody that approaches equity must do so with clean hands. We need them to be sincere and be SEEN to be so.

Seems someone somewhere is still not happy seeing saraki as the Senate President....but were they not aware of his corrupt practices before they termed him and his likes progressive and accepted them in APC?
I'm fully in support of this move, because like PMB said his fight against corruption knows no party boundary.....but something tells me Saraki is patiently waiting for Ministerial screening and other appointments that has to do with Senate screening....The journey to 2019 is really gonna be fun as PDP may just take a chill pill and watch APC play both the ruling and opposition party within themselves because that's what you get when you assemble people of different ideology together with the sole aim of taking power from GEJ.

Saraki can do nothing with the ministerial screening, PMB is already operating without ministers so the pressure of not appointing ministers will shift to the senate if they fail to approve the list of ministers sent to them by PMB.

PMB has got everyone in his pocket both the senate and the reps, this is is most irrelevant National assembly we would ever had in the history of Nigeria and this is the first time we would also be having a President that when he sneezes, the whole arms of Govt whether the judiciary or National assembly and even the armed forces will catch cold. There is always an excuse for fighting corruption...even if its genuine. When Ministries charged with responsibilities are trying to do their job..someone cries "witch-hunting". Where do we start from? by smoking out all corrupt officials and prosecuting them at once?...Hell no!. Even if corrupt officials are genuinely charged. People with your kind of ideology would still deem it "selective". Even if its "selective", it still brings a form of sanity into the system. And it would get to a point where politicians are mindful of their deeds because they dont know when they would be "selected". But i believe, its better to be "selective" than non existent, and "selective' can still become "un-selective".

As far as i know, the prosecution of this man is long over due and it dint start with this Administration.
