RuuDie:It's not by league. Are EPL teams not losing to teams from unknown leagues? Teams from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine etc? PSV were desperately poor yesterday. |

Eden Hazard can't even convert from the penalty spot against Maccabi Tel-Aviv. But each time Depay takes on two or three defenders and scores, they'll flood this thread telling us how bad that defense is.

MrTA:Atimes silence isn't enough im adressing Peoples hipocrisy. Overall, Hazard is no doubt a better player, but on current form, Depay is better(yet each time he takes on defence and scores, they yell that the defence is weak). Lets learn to give honour where due. Pataki and Elf keep yammering how bad PSV and Brugge defense is, but they couldn't break done Dinamo Zagreb tonight. |

The only English team with a dented hope of qualifying top of their group is Man City. Although some may have lost their first games in a surprising fashion, one can't write 'em off just like that. It's too early for that. P.S: Did anyone see FLorenzi's goal against Barcelona? Fantastic effort! |

RuuDie:psv are very poor, no much difference between eredivisie and jupiler respectively. How are these teams faring in europe, even ajax got knocked out by rapid vienna in the ucl qualifiers, United under LVG has been shyte and will continue to be shyte, EPL is in its worst period in europe, its big teams continue to be bashed by average teams, in the europa west ham, soton are out, united, city and arsenal are already in jeopardy in the ucl. The harder we face reality, can't see any of the mentioned teams top their respective groups. Miracles fit happen sha |

UniqueGem:This is what i have made people realize but only wazza is poor according to them, kane, aguero, costa, rooney, hazard have all been poor so far this season. Can't explain the cause but i believe they would pick as the season extends. Cant believe sanchez could be shyte so far. |

Nihilist:kolarov is far better than shaw, shaw isnt a united material, runs more than he thinks, i wont miss him, people prayed for rooney and Jones to be injured, shaw joins them too. When united bought rojo people were all over themselves, now they blame him, some people even suggested buying a new lb, god forbid. |

RuuDie: You no know ball. Brugges is a thousand times stronger on current form. Both went into Europa last season and Brugges did very well. Brugges were unbeaten at home in ten matches before we met them. They hardly concede goals. They beat Besitkas which eliminated Liverpool. Brugges got to quarter final in the Europa. PSV has a very porous defence. See their performance in Europa last season, PSV were shyte.

nyabinghi:Shaw is a young player, so he would ordinarily run and run without caution as long as it fetched him praises. After the injury he would adjust his game and run more matuerly. He wanted to do what Gareth Bale was doing for Spurs when he first hit the stage. When he got into the box, the only thing on his mind was to finish it off and get the accolades. A striker would have dodged that tackle and appeal for a penalty. Without Shaw, Jones should pair Smalling in the central defence. We then push up the defence line closer to attack so that Blind can join Depay/Young on the left attack with intelligent exchange of passes. Jones easily covers for his left back. Jones and Smalling have impressive results since they started pairing in early part of 2011/2012 season. Their matches usually have us scoring plenty of goals because of their high line defence. Last season they did not lose a match. This is time to allow them to perfect their game and understanding. This season. |

nyabinghi:Manchester United ought to bail EPL out in Europe this season. The whole England are hoping on us to do them proud again. Quarter final is the minimum we can take from Van Gaal, Rooney, Carrick, Schwesteiger and the boys. We have no excuse on losing at PSV. And we have to top our group. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 6:47am On Sep 17, 2015 |
Is it that the coaches don't see what we see? Ashley Young repeats his mistakes in every match. He doesn't look up before he crosses the ball. He spoils his good work with his poor final balls. |

![]() "If Martial keeps doing what he did against Liverpool and psv he could be a revelation! On the other side is it really realistic to expect that from him? Hopefully for United he can be the one. He looks like the out-and-out striker that is needed. Wayne Rooney is playing in that position but I don't think he is an out-and-out striker. Obviously he can fulfil that role and score his goals but it would be a good combination if Martial was up front and Rooney was just off him. That would be a good strike force. In four competitions usually the bigger teams have double competition up front but United don't and that is going to be the big question for the season! I didn't know anything about Anthony but he could be one of those unexpected successes. He needs time, but he looks like he has a lot of quality. As for me I don't think I would have found it frustrating in this United side. There are still always chances created there. I know what Van Gaal is looking for. I see that coming, First Van Gaal wants to be in control defensively and from there he builds on and I think that is what you are going to see throughout the season. I think they are going to get the base and then play better and better as the season goes on. I am a fan of his. He has done this at four or five clubs. He always does it.".......Rudd van nistelrooy [sky sports] |

RuuDie:Club ranking is nonsense. We are talking of current strength of teams in international stage not local Champions. Brugges beat Besitkas, a team that beat Tottenham and Liverpool. They conceded only two goals in the group stage of 6 matches. Finished top ahead of Torino, the Torino that dumped Bilbao out in the knockout phase. Brugges won their UCL qualifying draw comprehensively before United beat them. |

RuuDie:why are you arguing with novices? PSV are a much better side than brugge.....why do people like chatting nonsense? PSV were the pot 1 team in our group, we were in pot 2. PSV are the strongest team in our group and this is why i wouldn't worry too much about losing away to them. how can we even compare brugge that conceded 4 goals on their home soil to PSV who had a tighter defence? brugge conceded 7 goals to united in the whole tie and i don't see us scoring 6 goals at old trafford to beat PSV when they visit us. there's no basis for any comparison. PSV were their league champions in a much more rated eredivisie ....the belgian league is not different from nigeria's super league. dolphins of PH would beat brugge in a 2-legged tie. |

How people are saying PSV defence is wack is beyond me. That defence stood its ground against Man U apart from the clear chance Mata messed up I think they held their own coupled with the fact that we were more interested in possession instead of penetrating passes. I think their defence was good on the night. It is only when many incisive passes are attempted that the defence will be prone to losing their shape and making mistakes, but we were busy following oga platos philosophy of possession football. Even when Fellaini came in with his billboard chesting in and around their 18 he did not have it easy. Damn, I hate that philosophy! |

elampiro:Watford beat Swansea that won United. So Watford is automatically a better team than United? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nyabinghi(m): 10:15am On Sep 17, 2015 |
coogar:psv are in pot 1 because they are dutch champions. Based on his logic, benfica is a better team with a better pedigree than United based on the table he linked. PSV is shyte as well as United. Brugge didnt lose at home in europe for 10 straight games, the only game they lost was against united. The eredivisie and the jupiler are shyte leagues no wonder they have a team apiece in the ucl. Gbolahan Salami will emerge the highest scorer for 15 straight seasons if he ventures there, fc taraba will defeat psv on a 2-legged tie. |
