14 years ago today, the twin towers, along with the comforting sense of freedom and security in the United States, crumbled into a concoction of smoke and terror. Following 9/11 the world underwent a rapid transformation. Western countries adopted a foreign policy of military interventionism, civil rights were willfully surrendered for promises of greater security, andthe new fear of Jihadi terrorism blanketed the minds and hearts of millions. It’s for these reasons that everyone should research what actually happened on that fateful day.On September 11, 2001, a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks targeting the World Trade Centre buildings and the Pentagon resulted in the deaths of almost 3,000 civilians the largest loss of life by a foreign attack on American territory. However, despite the massiveramifications of the attacks, it’s surprising to realize how much people aren’t aware of. For instance, many people are still unaware that a third tower, World Trade Centre building 7, wasn’t hit by a plane but still collapsed in an identical manner to the twin towers. 5. The 9/11 Commission Report Has 28 Pages Missing.


Formally named the Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, the 9/11 Commission Report is the official report of events concerning the 9/11 attacks. Unfortunately, the report is shrouded in controversy. First, 28 pages of the report have never been released to the public and remain classified. Second, the commission complained they couldn’t effectively conduct their investigation due to extremely limited funds. Consider this, the commission received $15 million to investigate 9/11 whereas over $60 million was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky scandal. Lastly, 6 out of 10 members ofthe 9/11 commission testified to the investigation being “set up to fail.”

6. Jet Fuel Doesn’t Melt Steel Beams.


A major cause listed for the World Trade Centre collapse was that the fuel from the jets caused the steel beams supporting the towers to melt. However, jet fuel burns at 800° to 1500°F, and steel melts at 2750°F. Furthermore, Vincent Dunn, former chief of the New York fire department, claims he’s never seen melted steel in a building fire.

In the days following the 9/11 attacks, nano-thermite explosives were discovered and collected from Ground Zero. This is an incredibly important fact to note, as nano-thermite has been used on many occasions to demolish steel structures. Upon the discovery of nano-thermite, Brigham Young University Physics Professor, Dr. Steven Jones, led an international team of nine scientists to investigate the possibility of explosives being involved in the destruction of the World Trade Centers. After many laboratory tests and a scrupulous peer-review process, the scientists concluded that nano-thermite explosives did indeed play a part in the collapse of the twin towers. Dr. Jones and his team had their work published in the Bentham Chemical Physics Journal.

I don't believe that much of conspiracy theories. But I studied physics in secondary school. And the collapse of the building just don't tally with physics and engineering basic principles. You have a tall structure with a high center of gravity. If the structure is struck near the top as in the case of WTOs, their is no reason under the sun (considering basic physics and engineering principles) why the building should collapse completely into its footprint. At best, part of it will collapse in the direction where the build's structural balance has been compromised. I don't know if explosives are used. That is left for the expert to prove. But a plane colliding with a tall building near the top should not and cannot make the entire building collapse COMPLETELY and SYMMETRICALLY into its footprint.
As for building 7 which was never hit by a plane, I am tempted to say the shock wave of the previously collapse buildings might have affected the foundation and could (although far fetched) have caused the collapse. One can also argue how come the shockwave didn't affect other buildings in the area? Apart from that explanation, it has to be a spiritual force that brought down building 7 if explosives are to be ruled out.

All these theories don't even pain/concerns me. The one that baffles me is the fact that Americans themselves who lost loved ones are open to the possibility that it may be an "inside job" while our brothers and sisters here in naija are so sure that the terrorists could not have been aided by insiders.

Out of all the events that occurred on 9/11, the collapse of building 7 is one that continues to baffle scientists to this day. Although building 7 was not hit by a plane, it collapsed in 6.5 second sat free fall acceleration and in an almost identical fashion to the twin towers. Furthermore, it’s well documented that steel-framed high rise building shave never collapsed from fire or structural damage. In light of this evidence, many have come to the conclusion that the collapse of building 7 was a controlled demolition. 10. The Twin Towers Were Not the Only BuildingsHit That Day.

When reflecting on September 11, it’s most common to remember the image of the Twin Towers collapsing. However, what’s usually forgotten is that World Trade Centre 7 and the Pentagon also suffered damage on that day. World Trade Centre 7, which suffered minimal damage from falling debris but was not hit by an airplane, completely collapsed. And the Pentagon, according to the official government report, suffered damage when it was hit by a Boeing 757. However, it’s now largely considered that the government narrative is false no plane was found in the wreckage, the hole in the Pentagon was too small to have been made by a Boeing 757, and it would be physically impossible for even the most skilled pilot to fly such a large plane into the side of the building without the engines hitting the ground first.
