parrotibaba:United have scored with their last 6 attempts on target in the EPL. But they said our striker was failing cuz nothing is created for him. Any excuse for the White Pele - he should step up or _fuck off. He's our player & captain that's why we should let him know what's up. It's no witch hunt. |

We are impressed with Martial no doubt! The truth is he should not be starting for a club like United who is expected to fight for trophies on all fronts. Another truth is that we have no choice but to start him since we have slowpokes like Rooney, Fellaini is not a top 9, wilson is not exactly ready. If Lvg had bought a Marquee striker Martial won't be starting. He has taken his opportunity and pray and hope he continues to improve from here, his confidence is high now and can only be to our advantage. Many of us were skeptical about a 19yr old boy striking for us. I just feel we should be trying to impose ourselves in our games, the slow passing possession play only gives our opponents time to settle and gain confidence to hurt us. Happy 3points. |

codedguy1:Somebody is scoring goals and you still insist he should not be starting, the job of a striker is to score goals and he is doing exactly that, marquee signing doesn't equate to goals, it's just the name As long as he keeps the goals coming in, he should always lead our attack, always |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by codedguy1(m): 8:31pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
dopeJemi:Why don't you read what I wrote calmly and understand. Most people did not know Martial when he was being mentioned as a possible buy and were apprehensive of having a somewhat unknown striker come lead our attack after the sale of Chicharito and the rest. Yes Martial is scoring even I want him to continue in our starting lineup. Am not insisting that he should not start. Why is a slowpoke like Rooney who has practically done diddly squat still starting for us. All am saying is that If we had bought a cavani or Benzema or if that id1ot called Rooney was scoring, Martial won't be starting. May Martials scoring form kontinu! |

God bless you for the comment above @Dopejemi. I wanted to ask him if Falcao wasn't a marquee signing last season but you've settled the score already. A Chelsea fan was questioning his age after watching him bagging goals with confidence. He forgot he wasn't born in Africa, rather in Europe where records are well kept. I would love to see Wilson against Ipswich in the Capital one Cup! Same as Lingard and Perreira (with either of them playing 10). They are in the age bracket with Martial and I hope they play well and send Rooney away from the Team completely! |

Martial just so likes the EPL - 2 games, 3 goals. Hope he continues with this kinda performance. |

dopeJemi:As excited as I'm about martial, coded guy's made a valid point. Martial isn't the kinda striker to lead a title charge at a top club. Albeit his obvious quality, the lad is still raw & IMO, he isn't an out - and - out CF (yeah, his finishing seems to be pretty decent). With the serial wankstars we have as CFs, I hope his good form continues while he improves as a player generally |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 8:42pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
Dadehmola:It's not by age bro, rather ability to deliver when needed! How old was Messi when he announced himself to the World? We just need to pray he keeps improving and injury free! |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Mourinholic(m): 9:07pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
Martial isn't ripe for United? Nonsense What age is Neymar..... what was Pato's age when he Milan's king, Rooney was signed at what age? Ronaldo? The same reasoning that made Pogba leave Morata led Juve to UCL final....I can go on and on If Zouma and Varane are bossing Defence where experience is HIGHLY required, abeg no excuse...... If you gat it,you garrit.......The boy is good |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dopeJemi: 9:14pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
codedguy1:I understood you perfectly, does a marquee signing guarantee goals? A very big NO, we buy Cavani or benzema now, they flop big time, we'll start calling for martial to start ahead of them, like I said, it's just the name... I don't mind an unknown player leading our attack as long as he keeps scoring the goals, same was said about di maria and young, that young won't be starting if we buy di maria, but it was the opposite... gone are the days when we used to crave for marquee signings Buy anybody with real promise, though i'm not saying we shouldn't go for top top players |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dopeJemi: 9:20pm On Sep 20, 2015 |
Dadehmola:One question, what brings about a title challenge? Goals right? And if martial is scoring those goals, how is he not the kinda striker that should be leading our attack? What else would a marquee signing do differently, if he's going to continue his fine form, then he is the kinda of striker that should be leading our attack |

adeyemi2015: dopeJemi:You guys don't seem to get the point... This is a united side in transition - many players are still trying to adapt & the chemistry isn't quite there yet. A 19 year old who's still honing his skills as a lead CF & still has to fully adapt to the rigors of the EPL spearheading the attack in such a team would never be the optimal solution ( LVG even said he bought him for the future, remember??) However, due to the circumstances we've found ourselves , the lad seems to be our best bet upfront & we can only hope & pray his good form continues. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dopeJemi: 10:18pm On Sep 20, 2015 |

Martial took his chances well, looks like a good buy, Depay has no EPL goal yet with the massive amount spent on him. The captain underperformed but the 3 points was gotten. He missed Liverpool United won some fools said it was because he didnt play, he didnt play against PSV we lost one manchild claimed we lost cos of him, he played again yesterday, the son of bitches are moaning again. Only on this thread is a player crucified even when his team won. Sanchez 0 goal in all competitions, Kane 0 goal in all competitions, Hazard 1 deflected goal in all competitions, aguero 1 goal in all competitions, yet some illiterates claimed i compare wazza to ruud in terms of goal coring, bring the link where i compared them or thunder will smite you dead. The thread of charlatans, smellos, retarded bastards. Valencia came in and we won, the same set of fools claim Valencia should never play for United again cos of someone who has just been bought. Blind had the worst rating yesterday, if not for DDG who saved us countless times mane made our defenders look like fc taraba players. It is just starting. Heracles Almelo beat PSV so in your warped and deluded minds they automatically defeated United too since PSV beat United. You lots are the S.I Unit for stupidity. |

Sanchez,Ozil are good players but they tend to disappear in Big games, sanchez hasnt scored against United, Chelsea,City if i can recollect or during decisive moments,i havent seen anybody bash him on the gunners thread. Ayagayos and Ekwe samples dominate this thread according to Elampiro. |

do we all seriously support the same team?? what's with the pettifogging and unending back and forth between United faithfuls.. Nawa oo.. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nyabinghi(m): 7:18am On Sep 21, 2015 |
Khaytunechi:the problem is anytime Rooney,Valencia or Fellaini have a poor day, they start to yab and insult anyone thet gives them a benefit of doubt, even to the point of lying just to defend some damned points, mostly from the secondary school boys that just had the freedom to use the Internet. We the real supporters of United have seen it all not those who joined because of the past glory, we know them. All Big teams have their major past performers underpeforming, yet their fans dont abuse them. Rooney hasn't been ok so far but he is one player who steps up with time. Depay was the Eredivisie top scorer last season , how many goals in the EPL now 0, martial was even doubted by all these guys who are now making a volte face now they are performing clairvoyants. Welcome to the ayagayo thread of the Reds. ![]() |

rooney is our captains our supposed. Biggest player, the onus is on him to carry the team and not the other way round...He on £300k a week like seriously, Messi takes the initiative, Ronaldo does same as with Robben, Griezmann, Silva etc... even the big players in rival teams who are under performing are still doing better than rooney... Augers hasn't been awesome but there's hardly shortage of endeavor, same can't be said of rooney.... Depay and Mata as bad as they've been have been way better than Rooney... I say let him spend some good time on the bench.... |

The truth is that many of us here are fair weather fans. If martial goes 5 matches without a goal and keeps loosing the ball within that time, our fair weather super analyst fans will come out to bring out charts of how he has been our worst striker since the medieval ages. A behavior typical of glory hunters who Ferguson spoilt so bad with trophies and made them believe every player should be ultra fantastic all year round. If fellaini scores 3 goals today, he must start next game, fails to do anything in the next games, he should be sold, he is a liability. We have the most fickle fans. If there is anything i commend LVG for, it is the fact that no other top 4 or 5 team has laid the foundation for its football for years to come like manchester united has but our glory hunters want goals from Cavani and Benzema, they want Muller, they want to compare our players to messi and Ronaldo.....We will have bad days but i will take it with these young stars than those guys who could turn out as another van persie. Win trophies today, take another three or four years trophyless rebuilding. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nyabinghi(m): 7:51am On Sep 21, 2015 |
patrickmuf:how are the other underperforming players doing better tham him, what metrics did u use. If United cant pay him 300k again, let them sell him. Ruud,Ronaldo,Becks left United, did united crumble.Rooney can leave as well, just find the market for him to leave, even keane was forced to leave, so i aint no rocket science. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by nyabinghi(m): 7:53am On Sep 21, 2015 |
MrLouisVanGaal:you are very correct and objective. Real fans stick with their players even during dry spells but not like we have here, even Rooney gets slated on foreign forums but they dont ever rubbish his achievements. Depay has been a fraud up to this moment, we were told he is super human by the salesmen on this forum. |

dopeJemi:with the exception of cantona, no marquee signing has done utd good.... from porbosky-stam-veron-di maria-falcao..... compare to relatively unknown players like evra vidic js park ronaldo.... the best united players are always those that joined the senior team in their teenage years....thereby giving them the opportunity to grow into the team ....scholes giggs Beckham keane ronaldo rooney I personally have never digged the idea of utd going for established players ....they just dont suit us |
