No. If you are expected to come with any document, they would have told you. However, the documents we are talking about here are not in anyway a heavy load that you should worry yourself contemplating carrying them or not. Why not just take your documents with you to be 'safe'? #JustASuggestion

To the Guys Planning their Trip to America

Please, e dakun, biko, dan Allah, etc. try as much as possible to get enough jeans before leaving Nigeria. Getting jeans trousers in America is perhaps the most expensive part of men's shopping. I am telling you, jeans, I mean jeans - thick, straight, and fitting ones - are expensive!

No matter how you are looking at it, getting a good pair no be beans. sad

For instance, a friend's brother got a pair of True Religion for me few years ago and I thought it was just one of those 'jeans'. Shockingly, I have not seen that type of jeans at a price lesser than $120. And I must say, I have checked quite a few outlets.

From my discoveries, a pair of 'manageable' jeans starts from like $35 - as u rich reach. Just try as much as you can to get enough pairs in Nigeria. JEANS ARE NOT CHEAP in America. Clothes are quite cheap if you know how to go about it, but sokoto is hell no!

Similar to this, please try get a pair of moccasin from Nigeria too. Folks here use it a lot but it is also expensive. A very good one - with correct ponmo - won't cost more than 5k in Nigeria. And I must say, you can use one for a long time. I am regretting leaving mine at home.

Thank you.

tongue Welcome to America. Thing a are cheap, things are cheap. I bought a winter jacket for $80 dollars and I got one free from a friend here which he paid $120 to get. I thought things were cheap here till I entered Khols. All I did was get a Khols card and constantly monitor when they are on sale or got discounts. The cheapest of them jeans is still like $40. I usually wear 33 back in Nigeria, but when I added cheese and beef to my diet I'm btween 34 to 35. Went to the store to get pants for my Defence and I couldn't get anything less than $50 box. I had to wait till I got to Chicago so I can get free stuffs. Clothing ain't cheap here.

Slimmy05, I dey tell you. No be beans. You won't believe I called my sisterto buy jeans for me and send down. I won't mind paying her in excess for helping me do that! Yes. I will not make such mistake again. Anytime I go home, I will buy all I need. I can buy a bottle of perfume with $100, but not just sokoto. Ko jo. Tah!

And I was also in Chicago a week ago. Except the beaches and tall buildings, what is there in Chicago? grin I hated it! Not like Madison. cool The inner parts of Chicago are not really different from Ajegunle, Lagos. And Ajegunle folks even have the right to feel disrespected by comparing their slums with Chicago's! Like seriously.

I also saw too many Nigerians and blacks there! A girl in her thick Ibadan accent was even receiving call on the street, shouting! But African foods are cheap in Chicago sha. I used the opportunity to visit a farm and an African store like that to get all I needed. shocked

But biko, I don't like Chicago. I love Madison! cool Small, calm, and boring/lively academic city.

even the train is crazy. They have good places in Chicago and it's pretty expensive to live there as well. Madison is better compared to Chicago where they hawk cold drinks and jewelry in traffic. Dangerous too with recent killings. If you want cheap deals and know your size. Keep track of 6pm.com

If you can't afford those for now, you can probably get some faded glory jeans at Walmart-around $10. Not the best quality, but will get you going smiley

Why don't you check the school website yourself instead of getting every of your information from an 'education consultant'. Do some research yourself and you'll find out it's not a difficult process. Then ask your questions here where you need clarification. Typically, you will need to write just one of those English proficiency exams. Write TOEFL and you'd be good to go..and check their other admission requirements.

Brother, you keep talking about education consultants when you have an internet in which virtually all resource information you need are available. IELTS and TOEFL are both tests of English language, and either of them should suffice. However, since you're looking at US schools, write just the TOEFL.

I envisaged you not getting a decent reply reason I did. You need to do your homework & be less dependent on that education consultant of yours. If he really did say what you put up there, he knows next to nothing & is probably bent on swindling you. Do your homework.
