Good morning all,how best can a breastmilk been expressed be stored;Via freezer or fridge. And a situation of having just a freezer @ home,Hw can it be kept in d freezer to avoid contamination wit other things been stored.

Airtight container (they have bottles and breast milk storage bags) label them with a date. Breastmilk is fine in the fridge if the baby is drinking it soon. Freezer is for long term storage. Thaw it at room temperature.

That green poop may be a sign of food not being digested well by the baby's intestines. It's why you see formula fed babies with green slightly hard poop.

For babies who don't like eating, Can you try something different, not pap or cereal but check online for an entirely new recipe. Babies have tastebuds developing, Baby E has rejected the formula she normally takes and I suspect its because it's bitter compared to my BM. which means that when I start her on solids, I may make that pap but blend maybe a fruit with natural sugars in it (like strawberry or Quaranta local bananas something sweet that is a fruit, Orange isn't sweet). As a child I was the worst eater (the food wasn't sweet but they kept forcing it on me). So my sister used her experiences with me to plan meals for her own kids.

You can also place the bottles with breast milk in freezer bags or plastic bowls to avoid the smells/possible contamination from other foods in the freezer

Thanks all,I will be resuming work on monday n I was tld to express on sunday nite and place in d freezer to avoid contamination n also make sure no fish,meat,pepper in d freezer.Since I have just freezer at home(and I ve fish.pepper in d freezer),I just had to ask d question on how to go abt d storage.

Is your baby 6months and above. Cerelac cereals starts from 6months upwards.

Sorry mama but I don't think that's a nice response to her plight. No mom wants to hear she's not feeding her child plus I don't see how it relates to green poop.

Not eating well doesn't relate to green poop. It's d iron content of what d baby is eating. It happened to my son. I got so worried that I took a diaper containing d poop to d hospital lol but d Paed said everything was fine it's just d iron content in his milk

There's Cerelac rice with milk for 6 months. It's very smooth for a start. I add formula though cos I don't know the quantity of milk the cereal contains. The fat content is quite high oh, just in case your baby is on the big side.

I think what she meant is the baby is not emptying one b reast before proceeding to the next...which in turn makes him get more foremilk than the fat-rich hind milk. My baby had it too, and it stopped when I adjusted

So her saying 'not eating well' might be not properly sucking right

It was this particlular cerelac that made twin girl blow up. Noww I've switched to wheat and milk.
