Pereirra lacks maturity in my assessment. He also disappears from time to time, particularly when we are not in control.


Fellaini is clearly struggling. Apart from helping us to clear crosses from our box when we came under pressure early in the second half, nothing else worked for him until we went two nil up and his position changed from number 10 to a deeper role. His chest couldn't magnet balls as he is known for, he kept knocking down for opponents. He was easily dispossessed, had many passes to opponents and two of such put us under serious pressure.

Valencia brings so much option to all the people playing around him and even the goalkeeper. He gave plenty option to Schweinsteiger, Mata and his centre backs. He stretches our attack. His first time control of the ball even when marked stands him out and makes him so comfortable on the ball.

People keep saying they don't like Memphis. Well to me, I have not seen any reason to blame him harshly.

Martial has evething going for him. When I saw his clip, I knew he had high dribbling skills. Something I like so much in football. I like players who can beat in the final third. Martial does it with so much ease. In that clip I saw he could dribble like Sterling and he had the scoring potential of Suarez. He also has pace and power. So far he plays like Henry truly, he has added power that gives him good holding balance and aerial strength when contesting for long balls from our defenders.

Ashley Young tried on the left side but we badly miss Shaw. Rojo's injury could force Gaal to play a right footer on the left side of our central defence, and that could mean less free flow passing on that side. But I still do not mind Smalling and Jones partnership. If they could replicate what they offered together in the past, we won't miss the passes. Defending first.....

Gaal made it clear Wilson and Lingaard were not needed for the match, he also gave them time to rest after their mid week match.

It is illustrative of my point that LVG used Wilson and Lingaard for the reserve match but used Perreira for the senior match.
Perreira has more skill and potential definitely but Lingaard is more mature and senior team ready.
The truth is that foreigners like Perreira,Adnan and Pogba have less loyalty to United and so have to be spoon-fed wella if not they will be stolen by Real, Barca, PSG e.t.c.
Wilson and Lingaard will do a Welbeck and wait for their time..........the foreigners won't.

I have not been following for awhile. The last set i watched was that of Perreira,Janko,Wilson. Dont know why they let Janko go so quickly

Darmian should take the LB while Valencia(though always prone to leaving his position) the RB against top teams, aerial and physically playing teams and in some away games. Blind must play that left flank with Young or he'd be exposed.

Analyst on ESPN said the same thing. He seems to favor the far post when he shoots. Makes me wonder how good he is on his weaker foot tho..

I just hope he has accurate long range shots to add. Like hitting solid shots from 20-25 yards. Otherwise he will not be complete.

I doubt he's good at long ranges...

From the few Ligue 1 highlights i watched from last season, most of his goals were usually from 18 yards out. But he's 19. Plenty of time to develop dat trait..

Another thing I noticed in all his videos I've seen is that he hardly uses his weaker feet to shoot.

It's not necessary to shoot with the left foot but the skill does come in handy sometimes. One could be in a tight position and won't have the time to change to a more comfortable position before slotting the ball home.

Rooney scored his goal yesterday with his left feet, I'd be surprised if Martial does the same thing.
