Hey sir, the bosses to answer the question rightly and swiftly are in the classroom now struggling with lectures, assignments, quiz and upcoming midterm examinations /final exams.

My best advice is for you to go thru this thread from beginning of part 8 at least... You'll get useful info more than you can ever imagine from spending few days doing that.

I got the answer I needed. Link below for others that may need it.

Guys, as usual, no question is stupid and I will ask mine.

I have admission for PGD and I have already paid 50% of my fees

1. Can I still apply for Study permit for January start?
2. Can I go and do my medicals ahead, will it save me time?

Now, This is the complex part;
I have a bit of a funny job that means I don't get paid regularly but I get paid well when I do get paid and because of that, my bank statement doesn't have regular inflow but large sums here and there.
Can anyone give me advice on how I can go around this in my application?

Also, I am applying with my family (According to cic.ga, It is allowed) but my issue is the accomodation bit in the financial requirements. would it be sufficient to just show that I have enough funds to cover a year of rent since my school doesn't cater to family housing.

It better to apply for your study permit outside Nigeria coz its really difficult /impossible in Canada using visiting visa

bugzi:
I just wonder if anybody here is in my shoes, its like everybody is looking for TRV. I have one and I have traveled to Canada and back. its still valid but i want to apply for study permit from here.

Please advise

So after my application exceeded 8 weeks I recently sent a case specific enquiry to CIC Accra and the e-mail response was that my "Application was in queue for review by a Visa Officer"
Please can anyone who knows what this means kindly explain. Thank you

HELLO Guys.. which among this 2 province in Canada will you advise in terms of good job prospects for international students and easier PR ??
1. Manitoba
2. Saskatchewan

Both are easy as per PR but for job prospects Saskatchewan wins. Sask have the lowest unemployment rate in the whole of the country. There are more jobs in Saskatchewan than even Alberta.

Haha. I like your spirit already.

2. Can I go and do my medicals ahead, will it save me time?
1. Yes, average processing time is about 8 weeks for students.
2. Yes, I believe it saves time but some people on this thread have other opinions.

Credibly explain it in your SOP and provide proof.

It is best to have more funds than just one year of rent+tuition. But according to the CIC website they claim that demonstrating the availability of just one year's funds is ok. I say you should play it safe with more funds in your account, as some VOs may be unconvinced if the funds in the account are enough for only one year, especially if you are self-sponsor with no source of further income while in Canada.

Even with Alberta currently in crisis, it still has more jobs than sask.
Calgary alone has more jobs than the whole of Saskatchewan.

Employment rate wise, Saskatchewan is higher cos the population is only 1/4th that of Alberta.

Employment rate is more important though as there are less people competing for the available jobs.

Hi guys, I did my medicals with IOM on the 10th september and communicated with them some days later and was told the report has been sent to CIC on the 15th. However, till date I haven't heard from CIC which got me confused if I passed or not.

From the trend on here it seems like folks do get medical passed alert from CIC after two days. Any suggestions pls....

Yes, only Lagos and Abuja centers for now. Abuja office was recently opened this year, before now it was only Lagos.

Dear All,

In a situation where my sponsor moves his salary from his salary account to another bank account every month. How do I now present it to the VO because the SOA I will be using is not his salary account and it wont reflect that the company he works for pays him X amount monthly.

I don't know if anyone understand what I am trying to say.

Please, advise.

***Appreciate***

I suggest you attach both SOA. The salary accoint will show the source of fund. Also, let your sponsor state in his letter of sponsorship that money moves from his salary account to the other one just to be very clear.
Cheers

Ok, I will attach both account SOA...but hope it doesn't matter that the salary account is scanty as he does not do much on the salary account apart from receiving his salary? But his other accounts is where traffic is.

No it doesnt matter. The salary account only shows to the VO that he is gainfully employed and that the source of funds is from his empoyment.

No, I don't agree that Calgary have more jobs than the whole of Saskatchewan but I will agree with you that there are more jobs in Alberta than Sask but when you compare the ratio of available jobs as against the population of both provinces; Saskatchewan is better off hence the "lowest unemployment rate" thing. Right now Alberta comes in 3rd on that list.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Shebol01: 10:15am On Oct 03, 2015
Nobody can outrightly say you would be refused visa. Show proof that you hve been gainfully employed or doing somethings adding to your personal value during the gap. Make your SOP very powerful and credible. Contact experienced men on this thread to help you (SnappyFingaz, Mr Siga, HayqinsFX etc) review the SOP. It's paramountly important you get a sponsor (even if you intend to sponsor yourself). Have a strong faith your application will be approved. Godspeed bro.

okay. And that is with the oil price wahala.
Saskatchewan has a good employment rate, especially for those in healthcare and the utility sector.
I drive from Calgary to Regina once in a while for work. It's very easy to see why people don't wanna live in Saskatchewan.
