WORRIED that some of his ministerial nominees may not scale through the Senate screening, expected to commence next Tuesday,President Muhammadu Buhari,Tuesday,begged senators of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,for a soft landing for the nominees.

The president, who is said to be highly disturbed that without personal intervention, some of his party chiefs instrumental to his success at the president election would be frustrated during the screening exercise, has asked his Senior Special Assistant to the National Assembly Matters (Senate),Senator Ita Enang, to immediate reached out to the PDP senators.

The development came just as the All Progressives Congress,APC spokesman and ministerial nominee, Alhaji Lai Mohammed engaged former Speaker,House of Representatives and current governor of Sokoto State,Aminu Tambuwal to beg the Senate President,Bukola Saraki, for a soft landing at the screening exercise

100% correct. GEJ nominated some very shady characters as Ministers and Ministers of State. Yet they were confirmed. For example Obanikoro. I laugh at this silly report. All the names will be confirmed. It is only folllowers and supporters of politicians that fight themselves. The politicians themselves know when to behave in relation to each other. "Beg" indeed. What a load of rubbish packaged for a people (Nigerians) who love their Nollywood-style and 'mammy water' stories.

I watched ChannelsTV interview of Senator Nwaboshi of Delta north senatorial district. I trust people of Mbuzor, they never bluff. Those nominees better prepare themselves for the onslaught on the 13th. Its going to be one HELL of a show. i wonder how people reason and think. What makes you think the President need to beg senators to do their work. The senators don't have a choice than to screen without objection. If anybody feels negative about the names, he/she should channel it to the proper channel.
